Male sexual arousal (and orgasm) is necessary for natural procreation, female sexual arousal (and orgasm) is not.
So evolution has developed men to become sexually aroused (and have orgasms) more often and more easily than women.

I agree with Gallows. However, I grew up in a time and place where some people still thought that women weren't suppose to enjoy sex just for the sake of sex. Sad, but true. I've had female friends that still had feelings of guilt if they had an orgasm and were ashamed of masturbation. Good girls "put-up" with their spouses desires, but shouldn't necessarily enjoy it. In this day and age men are more geared towards seeing that their partners are satisfied.

It's true that it is not nessasary for a woman to orgasm to procreate. However, the penis is used for both sexual pleasure and urinating, where as a clit's only purpose is for pleasure. So it all comes out in the wash I think.

Well, actually the penis is not necessary for urination...it is merely a housing for the urinary urethra...aren't you all glad I stopped by?
There are many people in the world who have difficulty conceiving babies....the female orgasm has been proven to aid in conception through added fluids which change the vaginal pH and through stimulating the movement of the ova...I'm no expert, but that's what the literature says.
Little known facts about the clitoris...actually the inner labia and clitoris are one in the same, thus the clitoris also serves to protect the opening of the vagina and assist in providing lubrication so that intercourse can take place.

Actually, not nessasary really. As one of the best fertility experts in the country told me....a tablespoon of expecterant per day will thin your mucus sufficiantly.
