are the "numbing" types decent?
The main thing... to prevent "FRICTION SCUFF" which seems to really wreck the next day's activities.
so what's the move?

WET is best with Astroglide being a close second. . . but anything water based will work just fine. . . 
Of course, that's just my opinion.

Yeah but that only works if she's a diesel. For a 2-stroker I recommend Evinrude and for a four-stroke, I've always been a Penzoil guy.....

Astroglide is da bomb!!!
KY makes some new stuff called KY Ultra gel, and its pretty close to the same.......the drawback for both of them, is that they become veryyyyyy sticky when the moisture is gone......the fix......spit, or better yet, keep a small bottled water closeby......once more water is back on it......BAMMMMMM......it rocks!!!!
