The "watch or be watched" thread got me thinking about cybersex, and about what people REALLY find so exciting about this. When I first discovered cybersex many years ago it was when I was still married, albeit sleeping in the spare room, and it was perfect for me, the perfect release for my frustations... but now, I can no longer find any pleasure in it, either masturbating for someone on cam, or watching them masturbate for me.

I know that many people cyber all the time, with many different partners, and I just wonder where the enjoyment comes from once the initial "newness" and excitement of doing something new fades away.

Any serial cyberers here want to comment?

never done it --- but have had a guy say I will turn on my cam.

And wow --- now I was not prepared for that.

I am a hands on person -- don't tease me.

I don't know if you can call this cybersex but I know people jerk off to it. My "friend" & I occasionally go into sex chats with the webcam & we do what the people in the room ask for & its all shown for the world to see.

How sad must one's life be....to have to resort to watching a total stranger wank/masturbate for them on camera?

Sorry... I just don't see how anyone can get pleasure from it...seems like rather sad and lonely life to me...just my opinion.

The thing to keep in mind is ...

When it's happening, you are allowing another person to use you in his or her fantasy, and you're doing the same thing to them. Nothing more than that, really. It's not sex. It's not real intimacy. It's not bringing you even an inch closer to being less alone in the world.

I don't think it's sad that people engage in cybersex — as long as both parties understand it's nothing more than mutual masturbation. What's sad to me are the people who allow themselves to get emotionally hung up on it, as if the act of committing cybersex automatically fills in all the blanks where things like trust, empathy and genuine interest in one another should go.

One other thing — there's a *release* that happens during cybersex that can just about kill all the chemistry two people used to have. By having cybersex just one time with a woman, a man can go from being the guy who TURNS HER ON to being the slightly-pathetic LOSER who actually wasted a few hours of his time in cybersex. Would James Bond do that?

Think about it.

I dont see how there is any pleasure in it. I would just feel dirty and pathetic. But thats just me.

I agree with Zulamaze, I'm to much the hands on type. Much more pleasurable
