If people cant find anything to do in Ohio, then they simple aren't really looking for anything to do. It is all about WHAT you want to do. But, being bored in Ohio just can't happen. There are so many places to go and so much to do in so many towns and cities a person really isn't even trying to find things to do to say Ohio is boring. I have lived here my whole life and when my kids were growing up we took them someplace new every other weekend summers. We have everything from roller coasters to caverns, museums, zoos to castles, and tons between. Get on the internet and explore all the seasonal activities it offers. Even in the dead of winter there is MUCH to do....and not all is pricey either!!.....Enjoy!!

Just how bad do people think Ohio is?
I moved here from Florida a couple of years ago due to being born in Ohio and hearing everyone was leaving! The less trafic on the road the better!

I didn't even know that Ohio had a bad rep. Some people think Ohio is bad?
My dad was career Air Force so I grew up all over this country. I have lived from Mississippi to Montana, New Jersy to California. There is good & bad about every place. And people have different opinions & tastes. Some may LOVE living in the dry desert of Arizona while others wouldn't consider leaving mountains of Colorado.
I have lived here for over 20 years now. I like the seasonal changes. I love all the trees & wildlife ... I see deer, rabbits, racoons, etc in my backyard all the time. Soooo many birds! Lots to do in the greater Cleveland area. Great restaurants. Lake front. MetroParks. Top employment opportunities for me as a nurse. Very good health care options.
The highway system is not bad at all. I learned to drive in the Los Angeles area (many, many years ago) and when I last visited California I was stuck in highway traffic no matter the day or time. And wasting my time in traffic is a pet peeve.
But Winters are long ... cold .... gray ..... dismal ....
And I hope to be able to relocate somewhere more southern ... less winter ... after my kids grown & gone from my home...

I too, hear many things about Ohio, that are not so great. Cleveland, is supposedly, the worst city to live in, the number one city people are trying to move from, and the last city people want to raise a family, according to a recent poll. Violence is up, drugs are up, corruption is up, prices are up, taxes are up, unemployment is up..... While many are not happy with Ohio, and Cleveland, it seems no one is happy with, I can say I have found two things about Cleveland to feel good about. One is Cleveland Children's Clinic, this hospital offered hope for my son, years ago, when everyone else, just wrung their hands and shook their heads. The other is directly tied with Cleveland Children's Clinic and it is the Lorain County, Lorain City and Elyria City School Districts. Being as they are just a jump and a skip from Cleveland, they are up to date on the treatments for my son's form of autism. So, while I as an adult may not see a lot of good about Ohio, it is what is best for one of the most important people in my world. I guess everything is what you make of it, right?
