Posts: 64 Ok ok, I know I'm going to get a lot of eye rolling, and "What the hell?" and so on and so forth, but, are parachutes reuseable? Or do they get used once and then chopped up into shower curtains?

Posts: 66 They are reuseable until ripped or torn. But it may be bad luck to use one that didn't open for the previous owner. LOL

Posts: 15 They repack them and use them again. You just have to hope that the one repacking them knows what they are using...

BTW, there is no stupid question as long as it is sincere and someone wants to know something. That is how we learn. Never stop questioning, and you will never stop learning! That is how one grows in strength, wisdom, and knowledge.

Posts: 7 Definitely reused!, the 101st Airborne makes the soldiers take a course in repacking the chute I seen the other night on Military channel. (Of course I'm sure Osama Bin Laden is a special case should they capture him!) I can see our boys pushing him out a plane and him opening a chute with an anvil like the Coyote in looney tunes RELOL!!!
