 Why in the world would someone want to post pictures of themselves on a dating site, that are not updated and current. It is ok to caption them as a pic of you when you were ten years younger but, if you are serious about really meeting someone why do you try and fake us out with an old picture? Try being honest ..stop  ing them think you look like you dont..lol that is such a pet peeve of mine...just wanted to get some feedback on this subject.

it's the truth tho, but for men and women alike. But I've also noticed it on other web sites as well as obituaries, they post an old photo. Granted I know most want to be seen as they still see themselves, but even so, sometimes the more current will be more attractive to someone rather than an old, outdated photo. Just my 2 cents tho...

oh my gawd, i seriously HATE looking at obituaries and seeing the person was like, 90 when they died, and theyve got their wedding photo from 70 years earlier. What the hell? And yeah, my picture IS like, 2 years old, but seeing as the only change has been the length of my hair, and Im not actually interested in dating, Im not that fussed about it =)

The picture that I am currently using was taken approximately 1 month ago. I am going to get into the practice of updating it yearly, if necessary for this site (I sincerely hope that is not needed), but also for every other site that I belong to. This is the only dating site I am on, so no need to call me a cyberslut, LOL.

If I posted my high school senior picture here, it wouldn't matter.
I have run across old classmates who said I have not changed a bit in 22 years!
I still do look the same, except my hair has much more gray...lol
I do understand what you are saying, though...Pictures should be current.. The ones I have posted are only about a year old....

I have posted pictures from 2004 through Jan 2008.
I am not looking for a relationship but do have several friends here & I think it's nice to be able to put a face to the forum posts.
My opinion on the question of putting up old pictures or fake pictures, photo-shopped, pictures of someone else entirely?
One would ASSUME that if someone had any intention of ever actually meeting another from this site, they would notice the difference upon meeting face to face.
Maybe these people just don't intend to meet anyone. Maybe they are only looking for an online relationship, whatever the hell that might be.
Or maybe ...
