I'm 38 and seperated and looking to start over maybe meet someone new but for now i'm on my own.The holidays are soon approaching and i feel alone even though i know i will be around family and friends. The holidays are by no means a reason for hooking up but no one should be alone for the holidays. As for me maybe the new year will bring me good fortune who knows. To all the people that are alone like me i wish them the best and i hope they to will find someone to share the holidays with.God bless u all! I'll probably be alone, as I have been the last 6 years or so, but work throws a monkey wrench into the whole holiday situation because I will probably have to work Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas which will prevent me from taking part in the family festivities out-of-town. You are right, nobody should be alone on the holidays, but I have been forced to find alternate ways of not feeling so alone. I'll probably spend a lot of time right here chatting with whoever is around.

Well neither one of you have to be alone. Get yourself a friend who'll always love you for who you are. Yes I'm talking about a great big fat puss. Take a look at my best friend, Mr Monster Puss.
Happy holidays,
Eric & Mr Monster Puss

Just cause youre single doesnt mean you have to think of yourself as "alone". There's a plus side to bein single at the holidays! Youre guaranteed to be spending it with your own family! Celebrating your own traditions! Falling asleep after dinner and drooling like a baby on your own moms couch! C'mon folks! Dont get down on the holidays! Check me out! Ill probably be in the hospital while my entire family is sittin around having dinner and playing cards. Im also single, so no one's gonna be fussed about visiting me, but it's all good! I have Brave New World and Alice in Wonderland to keep me company!

I'm often alone for the holidays, but I just find something to do for the day. Today I came into the radio station and am doing a Christmas music show. It's been a very enjoyable way to spend a quiet Christmas Day. Later I'll fix a nice meal and watch "It's A Wonderful Life" (OK I'll probably root for Potter!) but still it'll be a rather pleasant day. My point is even if you're alone on Christmas Day, make the best of it!!

As it turned out, I was able to go with my family to meet the new extended family that was added when my sister remarried. I still felt alone though, even among all of those people because I didn't have someone of my own to be with. After four-plus years, I guess I'm used to it, but I haven't found a way to shake that feeling of being alone even in a crowd. Also, I feel bad because I am not as successful as most everyone else, and my current living arrangement, which is out of necessity more than anything else, is enough to depress anybody.
