Now maybe this is the foggy memory of youth but it seeme to me folks used to smile alot more than they do today. When i am out and about at the mall, bar, bookstore, chainsaw convention, wherever. It seems there is a secret contest amongst ladies to have the most dissatisfied/angry/aloof appearance possible. This is a shame in my opinion. For one, I think we all get along better with a little smiling here and there. And secondly, for all the ladies out there, a woman is far more attractive when she looks like someone you would enjoy spending time with....those ladies out there who pride themselves on looking bored with their lives...well...you just look boring. What is the appeal of someone who can't even amuse themselves? Women arenot alone in this, but men have pretty much always been slow smilers..when did all the ladies decide to jump on board as well? I see it most among the young generation...15-23. I'm not much older, but that seems awfully young to already be depressed with your life.

Hey NewtoOhio!! I don't know about other people, but I'm almost ALWAYS smiling...I've been told that it's one of my best traits, and people seem to enjoy and be blessed by my sunny disposition! I don't know why more people don't smile either, even if you're having a crappy day, the best way to perk it up is with a smile!
I'm going to be a dork and quote Elf here..haha "I just love smiling! It's my favorite!"

what does lower state transplant have to do with anything? And i dont know if i would kiss a person with rotten teeth or not. Never been in that situation, my point was that physical things i can over look ugly in the heart i cant.

A great personality can overcome almost anything. I just don't understand this fixation people have with bad teeth. Yea, it can take away from the person's outer beauty but the way I read it from some people is that it symbolizes poor grooming habits or being "unclean". There are a number of medical reasons for having bad teeth and not everyone is blessed with a good dental plan. Perhaps being so judgemental is the reason why some of the people on here are on here. What's next, singling out people who are crosseyed, walk with a limp, or maybe have a speech impediment? Watch out those of you who are heavy or flat-chested....Bald or with thin hair!! OUTCASTS!! UNCLEAN!!!! (sorry, having a Thomas Covenant moment.....ie. Stephen R. Donaldson's The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, a good read) Anyway, be wary of pointing out the faults of others lest you yourself get called out....
(all of this was said in good humor and not meant as a person attack on anyone....lol.....)

MisterNormal, THank you I agree with you whole heartedly. Who is anyone on here to cast judgement on anyone. No one is perfect. Everyone has thier little imperfections and thank god for that. Its makes us unique from everyone else. What might turn on one person maybe a turnoff for another. I for one like the fact that ppl i meet are not perfect than i can accept my own imperfections so much easier.

I love to see a person smile too but the smiling is in their eyes not thier mouth. When someone is truely happy his/her eyes light up and thats what i look for the genuine smile. And i also love to laugh--hence my screen name here--but i am not concerned how i look doing it im just spending the time enjoying the moment. But hell what do i know i am an ass watcher myself. LOL
