Flossy, part of one of my stories

Flossy sat on her porch, the third branch up of the maple tree by the fountain at the far end of the garden, savoring the delicious scents of her garden. It was dusk and the garden was settling down for the night. "This is the most delightfully beautiful garden in the world" she sighed contentedly to herself as she breathed in the sweet night air from Professor Hamilton's five acre park estate. Full of flowers and trees that were as tall as the sky was wide, there were beautiful marble stone fountains with water tinkling and misting the air to cool the wooden benches that sat amongst the hedges and trees.
Flossy was never an ordinary fairy, which is why there is a story about her. Flossy and her magnificent garden are known all throughout fairyland and beyond into the far reaches of the elven woods.
Flossy stood up and stretched her six inch tall body, then scratched her head vigorously with both hands messing her blond curls which were covered with leaves and a few splashes of mud from working the ground around the new plants Mrs. Hamilton had planted the day before. Her curly blond hair was cut exceptionally short, even for a fairy. Long hair was just so much work she would tell the other fairies when they looked at her shimmering golden hair.
She sighed contentedly. " There is nothing as satisfying as a good scratch." she said happily to herself. "Ugh." she said as she took a sniff of the air. “I need a bath.”
She looked more like a mud pie at the moment then a dainty fairy. The other fairies would often joke that Flossy 'really puts herself into her work' whenever they saw her at the end of the day.
She stretched again and looked across the garden to her favorite fountain with the statue of Pan standing proudly playing his pipes as water poured out over the fountain stones. It always reminded her of Pan and his lovely music from his flute when Pan and the fauns would come and dance in her garden on moonlit nights. She flew over to the fountain and gently landed on the rim and looked into the rippling water. Above her high up in the sky the stars were just beginning to peek out and she watched her face in the water as a small halo of stars surrounded her. She leaned over and holding her breath dove deep down to the bottom of the water startling a group of goldfish. Sitting on the bottom of the fountain she merrily washed away all of the dirt and leaves and then she swam around until finally she floated back to the surface and felt the dusk breeze ripple the water.
She gracefully flew up to the largest sunflower in the garden and sat on top of it to dry off. Her tinkling laugh filled the air as the sunflower swayed in the breeze giving Flossy a gentle ride. Shaking her head like a dog she shook her wings and wiggled her butt till all the water had dripped or flown off leaving small dew drops all around her.
This is the first page of one of my stories. I have 3 other stories that I am working on. The Waterdroplets Ride the Wind is complete. Just doing a bit of touch up work on it. Then to a publisher it goes!
I spend my days either writing my stories or making dolls. I had a bunch ready to sell, then two of my grand daughters came over. One of them I had not seen in ages. She went home with five of my dolls. She was thrilled. My dolls sell for $50 each! My other grand daughter just got one this time. she already has 6 of mine.
My 13 year old grandson did not want a doll so we are going to make him a leather wallet. I am going to teach him leathercraft.
My daughter in law is also gathering a collection of them. She has 3 so far.
