Hey everyone, I'm still pretty new to Oregon and I'm trying to find something fun to do here. I love the outdoors and I pretty much live to fish. Anyone know any good spots or does anyone need a fishing buddy? I'm having a hard time meeting people and outdoors stuff is no fun alone. Any tips or offers would be greatly appreciated

One way is to come to the Oregon Party mentioned in the blog below yours. It is being planned for the weekend of June 2 in Roseburg, about 70 miles south of you. Hopefully it will happen . You can see who is organizing it. It should be lots of fun. As far as fishing, you have the McKenzie River, the Willamette up by Pleasant Hill, Dexter, and Oakridge. Stop in Dexter and talk my old friend DC Mills, the sherrif or ex sherrif, he could help you. If you were down this way, I could help you more. If you like lake fishing, I would talk to local sporting goods dealers. Not the big profile stores, but the smaller ones. I hope you do well. See you at the Oregon Party.

I am sure you can find the old sheriff by just asking for him. He is into this kind of sport. I am sure he can give you a good lead. He is a very nice guy. He was Oregon State High School javelin champion in the early 50's from Medford High School.
Good Luck!!
