Jul 3, 2006 @ 11:34 AM Happy fun woman wanting to find her best friend!     Thumbelinna Posts: 2 Hello, big world. This is the first blog Ive ever done so I have not a clue what Im doing. Ill just start with whats going on I guess.... at the moment im in Liverpool England but due to come home to Portland, Oregon in a month..Ive been here nearly six months visiting friends and am SO lonely for my family and my few close friends at home... Its a completely different universe here and six months is an awfully long time to be a stranger in a very strange land. I came by myself (Ive always been a bit on the independent side) as a reward for making is safely thru chemo for cancer. Im MADE IT YAHOOO!!! been doing just great since treatments stopped September of 05. I cant believe how great I feel but more than that the appreciation I have for all the little things has really opened my eyes to alot of things. Coming here was a huge decision but I wanted to see how the world really works, and WOW what a learning experience THIS has been. Im ready to go back to oregon and start a new life for myself as I have nothing to stop me now. LIFE IS GOOD and is exactly what you make of it no matter what kind of hand your given. I have a little something that I have to deal with too, but instead of letting it rule my life, I elected to just go on as if it wasn't even there.. It's so much better to be that way, don't you think? It's not important what I've had to deal with, what's important is to realize that life goes onward, and there is no way we will ever know what our destiny is anyway, so why worry.. Good going girl.
