I have read so many profiles that I would LOVE to CHANGE, for the lady's benefit.
One of my biggets turnoffs: "I have four dogs and two cats that take most of my time... " Then what do you want a man for? To help you clean up after them?

Why would you want to CHANGE them? Personally, I prefer to know if they're running an animal shelter in their own home. Or why change any of the other quirky or positive things one can interpret from a profile? To me profiles are what make us unique ... the vital stats and photos aren't that useful in comparison. The more you write the better, IMHO.

I wish I could block profiles that had certain phrases in them. For instance, any profile containing "must be goal oriented" would simply not appear.

I get sick and tired of reading, "not into play games or not into drama". It sounds like a broken record. In reading other people's profile a lot of them do have unrealistic demands and expectations.

Women who are in their late 40's and 50's who state they are in the prime of their life... Or say I want a man who can make love all night long...How stupid is that?
Women who are in those age groups are definitely not in the prime of their lives!

1. Profiles in which the author does not take the time to use upper and lower case letters where appropritae, to punctuate and to spell check.
2. Profiles with meatless contents, namely, "I'm a nice person with reasonable interests and am looking for a nice person with reasonable interests."

GuardenAngel asked: When is a woman in the prime of her life? One may also ask, when is a man in the prime of his life?
Aside from sexual prowess and the effects of gravity, I believe it is all about attitude and life style. I've met younger women who seem old and and live a very sedate life style and older women who seem young and live a very active, adventuresome life style.
I think some women reach the prime of their lives in their later years after the kids have left the nest and they are free to become more self-centered. For some women, it takes time for them to accept their sexuality and once accepted, pursue it's enjoyment selectively and responsibly.
For men, from my personal perspective, although they can't do what they were able to do when they were 19, the fires still burn hot. They compensate with experience and patience.
Enjoy!

Yeah trailviews...........I totally agree with your post!
What I dislike about someone's profile is when they don't write much about themselves. It doesn't give me quit enough information to know whether I'd like to get to know them more. I don't want to know "all"......however some are "very" vague. I personally go more by what I read then by what I "see" ... as in a pic. I'm not looking for a trophy on my arms. Yes, of coarse I have an visuale image of Mr Perfect, however "looks" is not what love is all about. After all "looks" can be lost in seconds....... true love last, forever. "Who" the person is, not what they look like is more what attracts me. Yes, as a human I am physically attracked to certain people and not others, HOWEVER.... I may see a pic and think "wow, nice looking", then read the profile and ........ehhhh, sometimes I know that it is NOT the guy I'm would like to get to know better. However, profiles don't have to be "perfect" so to speak.......anyone or nothing is, that I do realize.
Ok, maybe I got a bit carried away with this post, however I hope that I got my point across, which is "my opinon". Everyone knows what "they" are looking for and I understand others who do not share "my opinon".
Best to all! Amberglowing

I agree...... I do agree with above words in FriendinPa's post.........sorry I'm new to posting blogs. IMO on 1. - to me it shows a "lack of interest" in "seriosly" letting another know who they are, etc.
On 2. - IMO (geez, hope I don't have things like that in mine! :o\ ).... a statement like that is "vague" and IMO tells me little, unless followed by "more details".

As for those that disagree with woman saying they are in the prime of their lives who are in their 40's and 50's...........well, all I have to say to the guy that wrote that.......maybe you haven't meet a woman in her 40's and 50's that "is" in the prime of her life. Hmmmm.
And to the gal that responded and agreed w/the guy on this issue...........you haven't reached your 40's and 50's yet. Knowledge is wisdom......you might be pleasantly surprised when you do reach those ages. =)
As for the line..........."I want a man that can go all night".......that is just tacky, and would leave me to believe that they aren't looking for love making ( which requires falling in love first ) but just sex. IMO Maybe the man can't go all night long....for a variety of reasons....but may be the best you ever had. Again, IMO......if you take the time to get to know a person, like them, each feel the same and pursue getting to know another, then fall in love..true love. Things all around will be well.......I didn't say perfect, but ..all will be good ( in the overall pic )if it is true love.
For me it is about what they are wiliing to share in their profiles, which I admit I'm not the greatest profile writer, and also willing to write "what they want in a woman"..........saves time on emailing someone that is not into "who I am".
Again, as before......I enjoy long profiles or ones that aren't necessarily long, but very, very informative.
