i was talking to a girl off this site im new on here and she wanted to keep it online basically a net buddy like she was afraid to come out the house. i have internet on my iphone and when im in school she would always hit me up but when it came to taking our friendship off line she stood me up like whats the problem? why it always have to dtay online if you meet somone on the internet let me know since im new to this DRE FROM PHILLY

I know what you mean. People are afraid. It's like they want to stay in their comfort zone, behind the monitor or text forever instead of face to face. it's a strange society we live in!

it makes you wonder how sincere people really are when it says they want to meet someone . I know i have been on this site some time now 9 yrs and have yet to meet anyone through here . where I live there isn't much of a social scene so meeting people is hard eveen witout usuing the internet . i've wanted someone special to be a part of my life the past 9 yrs now and have yet to find that special someone honestly i've pretty much given up

naw i aint waiting that long i do me in the streets but its just meeting someone new and then when u wanna take it off line they be acting like they scared but have all the talk on line i just want to meet someone new thats all a cool friend nothing more nothing less females be on some bs when its time to meet and im not down with having a net buddy we can do all that chatting in person and go eat and i take u home i dont want no sex i gets mine i just want someone new and something different i been a memeber on here for like 2 weeks and still females be acting funny and they live right near my neighborhood and still aint trying to meet how can a female have a boyfriend online and dont meet with him? thats my other question!!

i met someone off here... in a public location and we drove separate cars... and when we went with one car... i drove
there are far too many stories about people getting raped and killed and shit
thats probably the issue
also.... if u cyber with this girl... she might be embarrassed to face u cuz of that

thats what im talking about meeting somewhere public nothing major or serious im not into that raping or killing someone i got a baby sister and a niece im not with that nut shit i dont believe in taking someone else's life i believe God should take you with him i think its demonic to take someone's life like who the f*** are you and who give the rigtht to just take someone's life!!!! i dont like chatting with someone and then they tell me we're meeting and then they stand me up on some dick head shit when they could of just told me they dont want to meet at all i would respect that!!!! its just the females i ran in to was game players and bullshitters like they afraid to come out the house but they can sit and chat with me online for hours thats pointless when you're watsing my time cuz i like to hang out movies dinner and chill nothing major. im not looking for pussy at all i got friends with benefits i just want to meet someone new and different and it seem like im asking for a million dollars when im not i just want to meet someone thats cool thats all!!! i drive and its a big issue when it comes to meeting but not a big issue when you give your email or other personal info like pics and webcam i dont get it!!!!!!!! That is stupid, I tell dood when I don't wanna hang out, then they like beg me to, it's whatev. Girls are stupid(: Well most of them anyway, it's hard to find someone cool to chill with. Whenever I find someone, they've got kids, baby momma's, or they're married. HAHA my luck sucks?

Well I wouldn't be particularly comfortable just going to someone's house either, unless I'd had ample time to decide that they were alright. I have met many people off the net though, so it is certainly not impossible. You just have to build a comfort level with the person, and preferably meet in a public place the first time. My current boyfriend of a year was someone that I met online, and in fact, he came and stayed at my apartment with me for a month without having ever met before, and it worked out great. That was after knowing each other online for 5 years though. You just have to get to the point of being comfortable...and that will be different for different people.

It's about availibilty.It seems that this online thing exposes us to more prospects as opposed to not being on here cuts our choices down considerably.The more choices we have the more chances we have to find someone that we might be compatible with.I am new to this so I might be not seeing the whole picture here but this is just my opinion.

Women are so stuck in their comfort zone these days, but I also think that the Internet has given users a false sense of limitless opportunity. Women are more inclined than men to go on a date with a guy that doesn't necessarily measure up to their standard, whereas a woman needs incentive and assurance.
Internet dating has killed the face-to-face chance encounter. For those who'd prefer to meet a significant other in a supermarket, coffee shop, public library---it's not likely to happen. Women are so guarded nowadays should you even ask for the time they mention they have a boyfriend. Very sad state of affairs, and a whole population of decent, standup men are the casualties.
