A friend of mine, a single mom, has re-enlisted in the Army Reserves. She's spending ten weeks training at Fort Jackson, getting rid of the "civilian fat." She'll get some time off around Christmas time, and would love to come home to see her kids.
Now, that brings up a problem... Where's a major airport around Fort Jackson? One with connections to Sacramento (preferred), Oakland, or San Francisco airports?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

If she wants a direct flight the west coast, then I would suggest that she consider flying out of Atlanta. It is less than three hours west of Columbia (a straight shot down I-20), but it has many more flights to Frisco & Sacramento than Charlotte will. Odds are that it will be much cheaper to fly out of Atlanta as well.
