with two of our bigest holidays comeing up I thought it would be nice to share memories of them.Things you and family did, family traditions, specials foods fixed, ect..On thanksgiving I remember my mother geting up and starting to cook things early...my daddy teaseing her about it and geting to spend time with him watching special shows on tv while she was busy in the kitchen...then the 3 of us seting down together to eat....at christmas one of the things we always did was me and my daddy woukd go pick out the tree together, and when we got it home mama would have hot chocklate waiting on us. My daddy would always read the night before christmas to me just before I went to bed on christmas eve

Thanksgiving it's the smells, pumpkins and spice. Christmas we eat seafood. My mom decorates her house to the hilt and it's beautiful!!

I remember leaveing a snack out for Santa and the raindeer on christmas eve..was always amazed that it "disapeared" and all I found the next morning was crumbs...didn't know till years later my daddy had a good bed time snack. For Easter, mama always had a special egg decorated for me at a candy store in Memphis, it had my name on it.we had special holiday movies we watched too.

The closeness and laughter of family and friends crowded into my tiny little living room on Christmas or Thanksgiving is the best !! The cutthroat games of monopoly on the floor with everybody cheering somebody on ..... naps on the couch for the little ones ......and everybody sacked out around the foor and charis and couch watching the old favorites to end the evening ........ The Wizard of OZ at Thanksgiving and White Christmas, Rudolph, Frosty and Miracle on 34th Street for Christmas !!
