So folks.. Here's a challenging one for y'all to contemplate..

Is this sort of thing the wave of the future?
Does it work effectively? Or not so much?

And if so, or if not, how come?

Thoughts?

I think online dating works best if you live in a more densely populated location. I'm beginning to think my area is a little too rural for it to work effectively for me.

I dunno Dixie..

My area is pretty dense, as dense goes. And I was thinkin' it must surely work better in more sparsely populated, outlying areas! Or sumpthin'.. heh heh

I haven't found Musical City to be a particularly social town though, especially for singles. Seems most folks are in bed by 9:00PM, or else they're up to no good.

OMG WM...I so agree with you there. There aren't as much fun things to do after dark unless you want to hit the bars and even then..I haven't found a bar or "club" that I really like..not that I explore them much. I want to do fun things, not go drinking or fighting the cute young things for the dance floor. Most of the guys I have met here either dont have their stuff together, they are in relationships or they are in college. The ones my age or so seem to want kids now a days. Whats up with that!? Been there done that. I girl just can't catch a break in N'ville.

Don't know what to make of it Spicy. Like you said, there's not too much going on after the sun goes down, especially considering our current size. I personally liked it better when N'ville was quite a bit smaller, but we're currently well over 500,000 as I recall.

I've even helped organize a couple of parties a year or two ago. They were okay, but only so-so. Not enough to be inspired to keep it up. Even the bars are iffy at best it seems, and mostly all in that one area downtown, where parking and easy access can be a problem. And as you indicated, those are all overflowing with young'uns.

Most single folks I know 40+ (not that we are 40+ or anything), around here don't really do very much or get out on weekends and such, terribly often. Although they all seem to want to. I guess a lot of folks are working a lot more than ever before, for one thing. But life is short. Ya gotta do things besides just work.

So..

How's you all'z love life in Tennessee?
Are ya having so darned much fun you can't stand anymore?

I have a problem with disturbance of the peace. Seems like the neighbors have complained about that long line of gals always outside the door and down the block and around the corner.

There's only so much a feller can do! Ya know?

What a dilemma!!

WM, you know you need to stop having so many wild parties. You know folks are trying to sleep after 9pm. Try to keep the loud music and screaming to a minimum please.

I know Spyder.. (groan)

I get that complaint alla time too.
I got to remember this is a bedroom community.

I'm gonna try to do better, if only they'd stop lining up out there that way, all hours.

Oh my!! The phone has been a-ringin' off the hook..

Seems once you get a reputation for wild parties and such, they won't let you live it down..
Have they no shame?

What's a boy to do? Except suffer though it, I suppose...?

You know the old saying, in bed by 9:00 and home by midnight.
