Keeping in mind a complaint is only an opinion, and not necessarily proven, nor in any way legally binding, have you had difficulty dealing with certain business entities in Tennessee, or Nationally?
And would you like to let others know to at least "approach with caution", scrutinizing certain ones more closely? Be it contractors, utilities, rentals, retail outlets, car dealers, real estate, politics, food services, or something else? Has someone, in your view, not held up their end of the bargain?
I have some problem areas to discuss. So, let's list some of our issues here, so that others may know what they 'could' be getting into in advance, allowing a little extra caution.

I'll start with local Comcast, as one example.. Major grievances there, regarding the spoken word during the sale.
Literally promise you the WORLD to get you to cancel whatever you have, and sign everything up as a bundle deal, including extra incentives.
Then, when it comes time to collect some of what they promised during the Sale, "Oh, that fellow simply wasn't authorized to offer anything like that". HUH?? This seems to be a new trend with such companies, imply the other guy wasn't authorized to make the deals he made.
Well, who the Hell knew that at the time!?!? And why not? And whose problem is that!?!? He was speaking as a representative for the company, after all... Why doesn't that mean anything, and what authorizes YOU to say HE wasn't authorized to do so? Of course you can never get back to the original person again, so it can never be rectified.
This happened again and again, in my case. with a variety of features and promised channels.
Buyer Beware!

This is probably not the best location for a thread like this, after all.
I just thought maybe if we heard issues others in our area had had, with vendors, contractors, services and the like, that some of us might avoid similar pitfalls, in similar circumstances.
I can think of a number of times I wish I'd known in advance the complications I would likely experience with certain businesses or individuals in the area, and providers of different services. I.e. kind of like a local Consumers Report, or the BBB..
But, something like that probably isn't of universal interest to everybody. And this probably isn't the best place to post such concerns. Once a bad situation is over, we kind of tend to forget about it I think. Except I have a memory like an elephant. If someone screws me over, I never forget about it.
Like I had this rogue dentist a little while back, who really did a number on a couple of my choppers . . . . Oh never mind.. There I go again.
I'd remove the thread if I could. But alas.. My powers are not that potent here. Ha! Maybe the Mod will come along and do that for us.

Ok, I do have 1 complaint. Wal-Mart here in my area is trying to remodel and has turned the whole store into a maze. Which makes it hard to try and find something, sheesh what a mess. What they oughta do is close 4 a day or 2 so shoppers don't have to hear a the saws & other machines while shopping. What a nightmare.

I have a complaint...something that I'm going through right now. Clayton Homes of Johnson City is, or was, trying to really rip me off, by charging me for all the things I ordered, but it not being there when I get it and giving me a hard time (since closing, which was in Oct. 08) trying not to do what is in the contract for them to do. I had to go to the Regional Manager in Knoxville to get anything done. The CH in JC was very rude and acted like they were doing ME a favor when they just fed me excuses why they couldn't do what they were suppose to do! I just about went to a lawyer...and told them, that. Now, they are jumping at completing everything...suppose to be here tomorrow morning and finish Thursday nite. I do not recommend Clayton Homes of Johnson City, TN at all...Very poor customer service!
There.

I recently had a problem with paint. I got Olympic brand. Had it tinted. After I painted my fairly small hallway I noticed one day it looked like bad drips all around it. It felt oily. I had primered it underneath with Kilz. I took pics and took it back to the store. They called Olympic and they said wash it down with just a wet sponge. They gave me a free gallon of paint. But ya know, just how did they know I could clean it up with just a sponge and water. It had to be happening besides just with me. Luckily it hasn't come back. I was afraid I was going to have a real mess. It had to be either old paint or how the tint was mixed. By the way, customer service seems to be a lost art anymore in most stores. And you have to deal with employees that don't have a clue when you ask questions. You would think with the bad economy that stores would be more caring of their customers. I always gave 100% even in the low paying jobs I had. I had pride in doing my job right. You don't see that anymore even tho it should be more so with jobs being lost so frequently.
