Okay I guess I will just set here and talk to myself. Hey that is not much different than I do most of my days now. === Hey you out there in cyber land.
I know I have had several looking at this blog.
I have eyes I can see --- what is the matter with you all -- Doesn't anyone else out there in my area love to go see movies??? But just don't want to go by yourself ???
It is not like I don't go by myself or can't go by myself that is not the issue. I just thought it would be nice to have a movie buddy or buddies to go out and share the experience with and I am not just talking guys.
Ladies -- if you like to go to the movies but don't do it as much as you used to do when you were a couple because you just don't feel right about going alone then lets try to form a movie club or a dinner club or both.
What do you say????

Okay -- then I will just talk about the different movies that I go to by myself on here. --- Become your horror movie critic I guess
--- you can jump in and add your comments as you please.
I plan on going to the movies this Saturday and see Lady in the Water. I know I know it has been out for a couple of weeks now. But, you see I get these discounted tickets through my company for AMC theaters so I wait until they go off the no pass status. As long as I don't watch the trailers or reviews on the movies it is still as good as going opening weekend.
The one I really want to see is the new one The Descent coming out this Friday. I will wait a couple of weeks for that one.
Will tell you all about the Lady in the Water - -- Sunday --
Till later me lovelies 3BearMom

Hi - I'd like to hear how you enjoy the movies. It's been ages since I've been to see one in the theater because I'm working 2 jobs. Have you met anyone from your area? Any luck meeting nice guys on MD? I've just recently gotten involved and I'm corresponding with a few.

Will I have always gone to the movies sometimes with my son when he was home and now still I might meet up with him and one or more of the grand kids over in Friendswood and go out to the movies with them. This was one of our favorite pastimes when I was married. So I love the movies with or without someone to go with.
When I go by myself I usually arrive early get what I want to munch on and go straight to the top of the seating. I love to set center seat on the top row. That way I don't have anyone walking over me getting in or out of the seats. I don't have anyone behind me kicking my seat during the movie either. Now with my knee replacement I will tell you going up and down the stairs is a little painful but like they say no pain no gain. I don't think they were talking about climbing stairs but hey that is exercise too.
Then I just set back in the dark and enjoy the movie. Laugh out loud, cry whenever I want and not have to worry about what the person with me is thinking about the show whether or not they are enjoying it or are bored silly and best of all I don't have to explain the movie to the ex or fill him in on what he couldn't hear. He was going deaf you see deaf and a little senile always forgot what movies we had seem and hadn't
What I am doing here is asking for someone to go with me because while I do enjoy going by myself I still miss being able to talk to someone about the movie afterwards to me that is part of the enjoyment of seeing the movie, talking plot and characters and wondering what the director or writer was thinking when they did a certain sense or how they did a special effect, and then enjoy a nice meal before or after the movie. Too bad you don't live closer we could hook up and go together.

I used to go to the movies with my son, but he is 18 and our tastes in movies are not the same any more. I will go by myself sometimes, but I agree with you - it's a lot more fun when you have someone to talk to when it's over. Even to talk about the previews.
Do you work with anyone who might be fun? I don't know how to make new friends any more, now that I'm not a kid and running around with a bunch of other kids.

As I say I still go to the movies and out to dinner with my son who is 31 and his family from time to time and our taste in movies has remained the same. I raised him to love horror, action and scifi movies. Now he also goes to the movies that young ones and teenager love and on some of these I join him.
The last one we all went to see was the Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest. I loved it, of course I love any movie John Deep is in. Then we all went out of dinner and then I came home to the bears. Was a nice day and they paid for me to go with them which was better.
I have friends at work and I have tried to get some of these to meet me after hours or on weekends and go out and do something with. But something always comes up and I think it is better if I try to find someone outside the work place to buddy around with. The problem I see from having work buddies as outside buddies is if you get mad at them then you still have to go to work and work with them. It just has the potential of leading to a bad situation.
I am a member of two red hat groups and I am looking for some other groups to get involved in but that is still in the works. Like quilting group, a group that is recording the cemetery headstones to help preserve Texas history and help people looking for their ancestors. I am a weird duck in some respects because I happened to like going to cemeteries unlike some people.

Hi 3, I am in Crystal Beach which is other side of Galveston. I don't go to movies myself but am always lookin around for stuff to do. Have you ever tried those meetup groups online? Not dating stuff, meetup. I am in several groups right now and I have met quite a few people in my area that way. Friends, not boy or girl friends.

Spirit Hi, Yes I know the one you are talking about I belong to a couple of them and we meet once a month. I am also in two red hat groups but like the other we only meet once a month and I also have a group of ladies I go for sushi with. That is one of my all time favorite foods right now sushi, I am sure that will pass with time as I discover a new passion. I seem to take my spells just like anyone else.
But I am always looking for more friends and expecialy a movie buddy. Too bad you live so far. We have some of the same interest.

Hello ladies,
Well, your idea about meeting for friendship and things to do sounds good to me. Don't have any single friends and going to the movies and out to dinner without someone to share it with is the pits! Right now, I'm in Rosenberg... treading water. I'm looking to move into a place that's not going to be vacant until the end of August.
Perhaps we can meet over a cup of coffee or a glass of iced tea.

TruTxLady,
Iced Tea sounds good with maybe a slice of cheesecake at the CheeseCake Factory.
Now that would be a nice afternoon. Talking and enjoying each others company over tea and sweets.
Anyone else in for this?? We need to set a date and time now.

Cheesecake Factory! I've obviously been missing out! LOL Sounds good to me. Mid afternoon would be great! I'm available most any day so it depends on yours and any else's schedule.

If you love the rain then Stafford is the place to be today.
It is now 20 degrees colder today than it has been all week. Light to heavy rain. Great for going out in and walking or strolling if you don't mind getting wet.
Hey its like going in the pool without the pool.
I love it. How about you??

Hi,
I used to have a friend, casual but he got stuck at my house in an ice storm one time-anyway, he was or is a cajun fellow named Nick-last name was really hard to remember-like Carnivelles or something similar-anyway, I'd love to find that guy and I am not sure if he is in Stafford or is there a town Stovall? He had a home there so if you know a guy who is quite large, a cajun, named Nick, would you let me know? If not, hey, I tried, right?
I'm just down the street a couple hundred miles-Rockport/Fulton area. It's been so humid here and so hot-the birds are using potholders to get the worms out of the ground.
Hope you find yourself a good buddy! Phyllis

*perk* Cheesecake? Droool, I might just make one of those meetings. Aw heck...I forgot the gas prices. Cheaper but less fun to buy a cheesecake from Sam's. Of course...now I got an idea...we could do that and pass the cake around to friends. Hmmmmm, I just may implement that idea. Maybe a social meetup then go out somewhere.

Spirit that would work too, we could also meet at a point somewhere halfway for both groups -- car pool to save on gas prices. But then you are in Crystal Beach and we are up here by Sugar Land. That would make the half way point somewhere around League City. I know there are lots of nice places to go over there, lots of little shops that we could explore if we decided to try it.

Houston - Galveston -- Gulf people
If you have to run from a hurricane where are you going to run . -- This is so we all know where you will be on the other side of one of these wet ones. But also so I know which roads will be the most congested and I can pick another route.
I would hate to get stuck in my little Jennie Jeep on the road with my 3 bears. Now don't get me wrong I love them dearly. But hours and hours of being in the same car with a whining panting fussy bear (not to mention 3 at once) is more than this poor mom can stand. I have my limits I know that is hard to imagine but even us die hard animal lover get a little frustrated from time to time.
So if you have to pack up and go --- where will you be heading -- I am going up to Lake Palestine Tyler area. Hey we could all meet up there and have a bbq --- any way just thinking out loud and getting my e-vac pack fixed up .

Bear darlin, I dodge hurricanes. It's those freekin 15-20 ft waves I have a problem with. I am ON the beach. About 7 houses from the beach. When I leave here it will only be because they are telling me the waves are getting higher than 7 ft. That is when the flipping beach jumps up and comes to visit. I am one of those weird metaphysical people that is called an energy worker. We work on disasters spiritually and energetically. All the homes around me got torn up a bit but mine was still pretty secure. Just mostly littered by bits of the neighbors houses. The main thing to think of during hurricane season is exactly in opposition to all the fearmongering the media does. Visualization is good. Visualize the weather people at the end of the hurricane season saying...' I have no clue what happened, there were NO major hurricane systems or damage anywhere in the USA this year. I don't know WHAT happened!!!! We are confused!' We did the Ernesto one that way and saw ice cubes and icebergs in the gulf as well. We even PUT ice in bowls of water and asked for the energy to vibrationally be downloaded into the water of the gulf. Hahahaha this was two nights ago? three? cant remember Then lo and behold! A cold front came in and push ol Ernie away! hahahaha. Don't put your fear out there. Any thing you focus on and put emotion behind, no matter how neg it is, you can create it. Just be very careful what you are creating. Be careful what you ask for, you may have to work for it! I teach manifesting over here AND online. I know it works.

Oh, btw, when I DO leave, it will be to Willis, and I leave BEFORE the mandatory evac. My sis is up there. I don't have a problem with traffic, I can use that Joel Osteen move, parting the red sea routine he suggested. Works!
