I know that even tho I have had some poor responses to answering others email, when they got rude, I have learned much better responses to people. I am not saying they respond better. I am saying I respond better now. It has been a learning experience responding to people's emails.

I my self am new to participation,that is I"ve been on this site freely for quite some time,but only here recently have I actually began to jump in and try to meet new people. It seems to me that there are a lot of protocols and etiquette that you just wouldnt find in the real world...people I just want to make a few friends and the way I see it if you dont like the way I type in my profile then I"m better off with out you anyway.I"m eager to get to the meat of tha action,and piece by piece I"ll probably go back over and see if there are typos and such but in the mean time im actually beginning to do what i think were all here for.I"m meeting people not their typos

Hey, not everyone has issues with typos. Do you really think you WANT to hook up with someone that has issues with typos? Get a grip! I am glad to see in advance that people have these issues so I do not wink or respond. I look at people's posts if they have any to see if I really want to wink at them or how I want to answer. Holy doo! You really learn a lot from these forums about someone. You sort of can tell why they are single lol!
Go ahead, read all about it. Some people really cut their throats in here. Thank goodness! I know by their posts that I am much better off staying way far off, and they too can tell I am not their type so they will leave me alone as well. Whew! Saves a whole lot of time. I cannot tell you how many times I saw someone and looked at their profile which sounded good then looked at their posts which snitched them off. I just go on from there. Plus I find some really interesting posts in here. Leading me to quite a lot of entertainment. Who needs a mate, now? I am happy just playing in here, lol!

LOL..... I do not know why people put up fronts covering who they really are! Then people want to know why the divorce rate is so high...uh duh..........because people put up fronts to hide themselves. Remember the REAL you has to come out sooner or later so why hide at all. Why not just be proud of who you really are? I just dont understand people sometimes!

I have read all responses...grins...see didn't delete a one..and note Travis, I did respond, I was waiting for someon to bring up those things in your restrictions clearly stated...for me it is smoking..if you want to or do..that is your issue but it simply won't work for me...and why do they email me..The other thing is the age...I state the age and while I admit I have many young cute lil pup chat friends for friendship and email...I dont know why I get a letter from someone sooo much younger who wants to get to know me better...when that age is way out of the loop.I would have to adopt them..it just doesn't seem to work no matter how you respond..so sometimes I don't.

Wow just stop by for a moment to read some of the bashing of Texas Woman. I couldn't believe what I read from some of you guys. Made me cry like a baby!  Not really but come on guys give us more then a wink. Give us something to work on and act like you might just like us a little bit.

If we judge our success by the number of responses we get from the interest we show we will fail in tihs game. Yes this is a game of life. One of many. There are many places to meet women this is only one of them. If used properly you will find that you have interest where maybe you hadnt realized. You can use a site like this to learn from others.
I have seen this writen on a few sites and I know its true. No one can make us happy, we have to be happy with our selves. And when we are happy with ourselves it attracts beautiful people.

I agree that if someone takes the time to write or send a wink you should reply. Also, I have found most men 99.9% just look at the outside package and not the inside. I need to have a new picture taken since I have lost weight. If a man doesnt like the inside it makes the outside ugly. That is what I have found with Texas men. Would be nice to meet someone to dine with go to movies. If a spark then travel. I also feel that the man shouldnt always be the one paying. The first time yes but after that make an agreement every other time to switch.

I have to agree that women here are different for the most part than in many other states I have visited. When I go to Ohio, California, and others, saying hello and smiling gets the same reply more often than not & a small but fun conversation. I do that here & most of the time the reaction is similar to a "Doe in the headlights" or she looks at me like I'm about to try and steal her purse. Better than that are the flat ignores.
As far as the replying thing goes,..I feel that if the person is just not compatable in their profile,...just say so! "Thanks for replying, but I am not interested", is not so hard to type.
As to the men from Texas are all cheaters,....LOL! I've had several girlfriends & 2 wives. NONE of which I EVER cheated on. In retrospect, I wonder if I _should_ have now that I know more about them all.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Why on earth would someone need to write you if they just look at your profile?? That would be like starting a conversation with every person you see on a busy street....just kind of silly & pointless.

Between you & I, profile-wise??
You are looking for someone older,...& I for someone younger for starts,...
For me you are too far away in addition to that....I didn't read all of your profile based upon those two things alone and so I would not email you based upon that.
But then, I would not have seen your profile at all had you not asked the question because of my search requirements.
( I hope thats what you were asking! LOL)
BTW,..that comment was not aimed at you, but at the third post on this thread asking why someone didn't write just because they looked at someones profile.
