I agree that if someone takes the time to write or send a wink you should reply.
Do a little test. Go to the new photos page and filter it for the gender for which you are looking. Time yourself as you wink at every man on the page. Be sure your timepiece has a second hand. Then compose an email and copy it. Go to the online page and send your email to everyone on the first page. Just click on the mail icon, paste your generic email, send, return to where you left off and go with the next. The email test will take a bit longer, but the full page will perhaps not take as long as reading and replying to an email or wink -- particularly if you look at the profile before you reply.
Don't think that exactly that little game isn't going on all the time.

I don't thump my Bible, I read it, hopefully apply it, though perfection is far, far away. Anyway, some people are too picky-computer speak shouldn't be a turn off...though I agree a lot of slang and mispelled words make me think someone doesn't really care and maybe we would be incompatible. But I think some people are just rude, and it's not really geographical. I would overlook a lot of the little things for someone with a good heart, good nature, and who isn't bitter and critical.

I answer e-mails, as I think we all should, what's wrong with being polite & kind. I only find myself ignoring those that immediately suggest activities that I feel are inappropriate in an initial e-mail. As a previous message indicated... like that's gonna make me wanna jump under the covers with you simply because you elude to such right off the bat ... NOT!

Well thanks for answering. I would like someone though from 40 - 55. Yes younger would be nice but i am about to be 50. I dont act it and have been told that I dont look it either. Ft Worth isnt that far away though from Waco. I normally go to dallas though when i go out of town not Ft Worth. Good Luck and thanks.

Hi Palehorse, I tried that, got attacked for it too, after the third time, I got so I just would not answer emails that had profiles that 1) they had not read my profile or 2) were nowhere near what I was interested in. Finally I took looking for someone as a relationship off my profile. I tell people I just want to be friends now. I haven't been attacked since.
Also, Lacy...you got that right girl. After being attacked, I made a second profile with a picture that was hard to see my face in and made it just for friends, not romance. Guess what happened? I got the same winks from the same people and the exact same emails from the same ones that were so rude to me before, exact same email letters word for word.
After I found out that this is the way it worked, I quit worrying about it and canceled the other account. I just was testing it out.
Now, sometimes I will thank people for the wink and sometimes I will wink back or in some cases when I get emails or winks and they are so young, I write back and tell them they should have read my profile first, that I am whole lots older than them and maybe it would be better they read profiles before winking or emailing, lol.
I actually had one guy freeked a bit over that when he realized my age. lmao Never heard back from him after that, lol!

SpiritEnergy, as for your comment about guys not paying attention to your age range I'm sure you meant those that were WAY too far out of your range but just incase you didn't I just wanted to point out that for most people this isn't set in stone. More often than not they'll make an exception for me so as long as its not too big of a difference then I'll ignore it.

I am going to try to answer that question as if it were directed at me:
When I go online to see who's emailed, after reading the email, if I like what I see, I check there profile. If I don't like what I see in the profile, I won't answer the email. There is no reason to keep a relationship online or off going if you don't think it will work.

Here’s my two cents. Stop being so sensitive. There is no need. Don’t get your feelings hurt if a woman or man doesn’t respond to your email. There could be a million reasons why they didn’t respond. If you dwell on every email that isn’t responded to, then you’re in for a world of hurt. My advice is to send an email that is original and stands out. Just because you’re on the internet doesn’t mean it’s any easier to meet someone.

For the first time in the long number of years I have been a member of this site, I have read a blog thread. I have been laughing my ass off at the responses that I have read on this thread. It is really humorous how the topic slews from a simple question of why women don't respond to an email to an entire discourse on the religous/politcal makings of our country. To what a lousy bunch of cheating SOBs that Texas men are. It makes me womder why you (angry, non-men-trusting) ladies don't become lesbians. :-)
As a Texas man, I am VERY guilty of not repsonding to women who write or wink to me if they do not meet the criteria that I specified in my profile. Nor will these women show up on my searches as I have a certain criteria set of the type of lady that I desire to meet. This is especially true to you larger women out there. I am sure you are beautiful inside as most of you claim to be. However, I do not find myself attractive to overweight ladies. I have been called a pig (Quite true at times) for responding back and letting them know that I am not interested for this reason. It also shows that they failed to read my profile as I specify Average or Slim only. It also amazes me that a women who is 5'0" and weighs 180lbs considers herself average. I guess in today's overweight society this is becoming the average. So maybe I better specify bulimic or anorexic so I will get responses from someone with a body style that I might find attractive. I would also like to see the above mention AVERAGE woman join me on my next marathon. Should I call an ambulance or Krispy Kreme to resusitate her?
Anyhow, I would really like to thank you all for the rather humorous literary masterpieces you have shared on this thread. I am really indebted to you for the most excellent mood I have acquired from reading these gems. These puppies are better than comedy channel.
I really wish you all the best in luck in finding that special or not so special someone you are looking for. Or that f&*k buddy for all you Texas Cheater, Pig Men like myself ( Laughs ). I promise any of you ladies that choose to write me that I wll respond back quickly with a very out of taste, sexually explicit response. :-)

Well...it is good to see that someone else gets peeoed at people ignoring their profiles. Also good to see that not only men but women also act ridiculous and email people who have profiles that do not match them. I believe in equality!

What's funny to me, and I've seen this a lot....is that some of these women complain about getting lude comments from men...yet their main pic has their boobs half hanging out or what-not....so what did you expect? lol
I mean, I don't leave lude comments...but Im sure a lot of guys do. It's in our nature, I suppose. 
Because guys are more "visual".

I think I posted this before...some people have filters put on and do not get the emails or winks at all. My sis has a filter and I cannot email her in here unless she sends me an email. Otherwise I am blocked and she never notices the emails in her filtered box.
