acquiring, preserving and displaying artifacts and memorabilia depicting the development of aviation;
providing a facility for the proper display and preservation of the collection and a suitable setting for aviation memorials;
establishing a membership to support the aviation heritage collection in the highest museum standards-

They have major shows in April and October where they reenact air battles. The October event is part of Wings Over Houston.

I attended their last fly day of the year a few weeks ago. Had a ball and shot over six hundred photos. Thank God for digital cameras. Would have gone broke shooting that much film.

It really is an amazing museum. The time a devotion it takes to restore and maintain those beautiful aircraft is astounding. I went a few years ago and I'm sure I'll be back there again. Gary in Fort Worth.

They have one restored British Supermarine Spitfire (Battle of Britain) in a static display and the fuselage of another waiting for parts. Other planes include: B-17 Flying Fortress, P-47 Thunderbolt, Wildcat, Hellcat, Corsair, Mitchell B-25 medium bomber, some old Russian fighters including a MIG-21 "Fishbed", and a bunch of other goodies.

I went over the summer...TOTALLY AWESOME ! Well worth the price of a ticket just to see the Mig 21. Being an ex- USAF guy I got a P-51 Mustang patch to put on my flight jacket.Not only is it FULL of aircraft but also has a really cool part set up for Army Air Corp- Air Force personel . Very Interesting !

It is amazing that the MIG-21 is such a small plane in comparison to our fighters. Small, nimble, short range interceptor.
