I like your point of view and response. That is all one looks for, lots of money and travel around the Meditteranean for a week or a month. Classic. Keep searching, but you sound like you don't need company, that you can and have done your dream date on your own.....Right On!

shallow...
3 a : penetrating only the easily or quickly perceived ~shallow generalizations b : lacking in depth of knowledge, thought, or feeling ~a shallow demagogue
I think to answer that question would require a depth of knowledge, thought or feeling...something which we humans lack...

Humanity is shallow because no one really wants a deep and fulling thinking human to talk to.. I mean no one wants to feel out of their depth so to speak.. S/he is so smart that now I feel stupid.. It seems that if one wants someone with intelligence and a depth then they have to give it also and accept that the other may well be smarter and or deeper..
Smile but no one wants this they want the equivalent to a soundbite, little information in a bang in your face event.. Smile... There are deep humans out here many just prefer to not live in the soundbite moment.. So how is that for a soundbite... ha ha ha...

Not all humans are shallow. First of all, that is one of those generalizations that many angry people make so if you do not wish people to think you are angry at the world or the human race in general, you might want to reconsider making generalizations like that for all the public to see. Also, from my experiences with reincarnation and my time here in the world I have found that older souls are much more in depth beings. It is the young souls that appear so shallow. Why? Less experience in incarnations. Look into someone's eyes. If their eyes seem flat looking, no depth, they are younger souls. They have no choice but to be what you may judge to be shallow or what I call inexperienced. The older the soul the more there is to their personalities. Who are we to judge what is shallow and what is youth, immaturity, inexperience? Just my 2 cents worth!

Some of the ugliest people in the world look really good from a distance. It's not until you get to know them that you see how ugly they are inside.

True, seems you have to invest some of yourself into a relationship before you can truly tell what some people are like. Then it can be painful pulling back out of the relationship.

We expect people to be shallow - we don' texpect people to have high moral standards, we expect them to take the easy way out, we don't demand accountability for misdeeds, we overlook missing homework assignments, we let our kids out till all hours and give them a free reign, we don't teach them right from wrong. The "my kid can beat up your honor student" mentality is taking over. We don't expect peopl eto act, we want the government to do it for us "It Takes Village".
If we expected more form people, more people would give more. If we set the standards higher, more people would meet the standards. We've ruined our schools with social engineering experiments, we put money into "feel good" programs rather than teaching the kids math, English, science, history, civics and an appreciation for the arts.
We've taken away incentives for kids to achieve -- Dallas ISD - no failure policy? We all have to experience failure before we can really appreciate success
Shallow???? We can blame ourselves...

I take offense to your over exaggeration of the word "We." Because "We" aren't all like that . . .
