Oh yes, I love to fish and love the ocean or just about any body of water.
Can shoot a gun (pistol & rifles) -- and hit what I am aiming at. Used to go rabbit hunting with a spot light, many, many moons ago.
Now all I hunt are those elusive men creatures, maybe one of you guys could help me catch one I don’t seem to have the hang of it yet.

Three Bear, you ever spotlight jackrabbits from the back of a moving pickup? Dangerous as hell but FUN! On one famous hunting trip, I got my dad's pickup stuck up to the axels in red clay mud. This involved a five mile hike to the nearest phone in the wee hours of the morning. He was not happy. I even had to supply the tow truck and wash off the mud.

Palomino - my spotlight hunting days where when I was a teenager and long pasted. Other than hunting with a camera I don't do it anymore.
Now in a pinch if I had to do it for survival sake, I know that I could. I would be crying like a baby the entire time. But I could kill for food, that would be the only reason now days.
Hunting for the sake of just killing is mean spirited. I know, I know that the herds need to be thinned out from time to time. I have heard that argument before.
But why do some men get so much pleasure from it?? I just don't get it. Sorry I don't.

I don't understand it, either, BearMom. When my dad would hunt deer, we always had a freezer full of venison....or according to the season; pheasant, duck, etc.....

Maybe the guys can tell us the reason behind it besides the thining of the herds theroy. Which doesn't explain the freezer full of meat that no one but them likes to eat. I have tried duck, venison, pheasent, rattlesnake and other wild game and I just don't get it.
I don't like the taste of it no matter what you soak it in it just taste nasty to me.
Sorry I know there are lots of people that love it but not this country girl. Give me Chicken, beef and pork and I am a happy camper ooooo oooo and fish too. Love fish.

Aside from just wildlife maanagement, The meat is good if processed correctly (clean as you go, No nodes or gland-sacks are cut into etc,) Now, the people that shoot just for trophy horns are the ones that piss me off. I do not hunt much anymore, but have thought about taking it back up due to the high quantity of deer (which makes them smaller...which coupled with taking only the best male deer and leaving the runts to breed is accentuating). I don't understand why the Wildlife Commission doesn't restrict the hunting of mature bucks for a few years.
BTW, I don't agree with spotlight _OR_ "blind" hunting.

Now why would you say something like when it is quite obvious that you don’t know any women from TX. Jealous that we do know how to take care of ourselves and can go out and enjoy the outdoors with or without a man. Mmmm that just might be it.
Lucky she is not here in Texas with that kind of attitude I don’t think she would survive very long.
Either that or she is trying to impress PaleHorse mmm that might be it - Palehorse you have an admirer.
