The reason for a profile is to know if the other person is someone u might be interested in..... One of my main things is height. I am 5"10 and do not want to date ANYONE shorter than me. But I keep getting e-mails from guys that are 5"7 or as short. If they cant even read my profile and get it right, then I can already see that they are not good listeners or that they even care what I want.....

I don't know, but I do know that some guys that actually _read_ your profile might be turned away if they are "over" 5'10". You didn't put a range of height's and the priority is high, so if I fit your profile & was 6', I wouldn't write.
I do have to agree with you that many folks don't bother reading your profile, and to me it's a bit insulting. On the other hand, I have had messages from people asking if I could make "an exception to...X", when contacting me; I have no problem with them writing me whatsoever. Matter of fact I've thought of messaging a couple people with the same basic line of conversation.
Good luck! ~Roy
P.S. Cute pictures! :D

Well I appreciate the advice,,,,,, I fixed that on my profile, not that anyone reads it but it is fixed...... So now we will see if the ball goes another direction or just keeps rolling down hill.........Either way I am not changing my standards,,,I am the perfect catch so until then I will just go with the flow.... Well, IF I were younger and we lived closer, I would love to date a tall lady. Most of the women I date are 5'4" or shorter. I am 6'1", you could ever wear your heels with me.
Best of luck, If I find anyone.. I'll let you know. Why not get more involved in local activities where men are.....like hunting, fishing, auto races. etc.

Hi everyone!! This is my very first post and one I couldn't resist answering. I have the same problem, I am 5'11. I too prefer men that are taller than me, the taller the better. I don't know if they just don't read or they just don't care but either way, I too get mail from men shorter than me. Does that make me shallow? I'm told it does, but it isn't something I am willing to budge on.

I guess as you get older your priorities change some. I never thought I would date a man shorter than I am (I'm 5'8") but have gone out with a very nice guy who is 5'5". We've had several dates and had a lot of fun. When you're in your 20s and 30s looks are more important, when you get to late 40s and 50s, you have learned that it's the inner person, not the outer, that you need to relate to. Ok that's from someone whose students think she is older than dirt!! Off my soapbox and y'all have good luck with whomever you are searching for. :)
