It irks me to no end when I hear women spout out the "There aren't any more nice guys" line. It makes me want to laugh in disbelief and cry in despair simultaneously. Ladies, if there are no genuinely nice men in your life, then let me propose a solution to your conundrum...
First, turn your head 90 degrees. Left or right, it doesn't matter. Following this (this is the hard part), you'll need to OPEN YOUR EYES. I'm not usually a betting man, but I'll wager there has been a nice guy waiting for you to notice him. He's probably been by your side for years, sticking with you through thick and thin while you tried your hand at all those other failed relationships; you know, the ones that included all those jerks and assholes.
If there aren't any nice guys out there, it's either because you have yet to follow the above instructions, or you unwittingly drove them off long ago. I seriously believe there is a market for relationship eyewear that lets one see what is blindingly obvious to everyone else...
Seriously, you girls need to take a look around you. If it's not too late, then maybe you'll be able to meet the man of your dreams... except you probably met him years back; you just never noticed.

Wow Artemis, for a young guy, you sure have a lot of wisdom there.
Unfortunately, my eloquence does not translate directly to wisdom. ^^; I've made a lot of foolish mistakes, especially in the relationship department, but thankfully, experience makes an excellent teacher. Regardless, I appreciate the compliment.

Depends on your meaning of gentlemen, ladies it seems to differ on the definition of a gentleman, now if your meaning is to be a doormat, catering to your every whim, subordinate, kissing a$$, then you will be right that gentlemen are very few. What you may need is a cat or dog. Did That, Done that, Got the T-shirt!

lj yeah my sister did get a good one... but she doesn't need another one so...... Smile......
Dwain gentleman.. means gentle man not a door mat not all of the other things you listed.. Smile but I can see where you are coming from as many people do not know how to care for their fellow human being and then when you guys are used up then women like me are ignored.. Smile I am a gentle woman.. I can joke with the best of them but when life comes down to it.. Home is a sanctuary where happiness rules... Smile....
Now if I can find someone to share it with again that is the thing.. Smile....

it's sad to see so many men (and women in a different way) that have no respect, no morals/ethics, no excitement, no honoring of a woman in today's society... I am in the Dallas area and times have changed... I am a man, and still consider myself to have the respect and desire to treat a woman like a queen... the way she should! tons of attention and tons of affection...
