Yeah, that's the trouble with some of these threads like this. A lot of people to have trouble with twits, but that doesn't mean whole classes of folks are bad. I really think we need to give a greater range of people a chance. I know some people look for certain characteristics, bur what about just making friends? If later you get involved with one of those, then you already are ahead of the game, and if not, you're not losing anything. I'm fed up with looking for a mate myself, but I would love to hang out with someone who was "just" a friend, for company to have fun. I think more people should give that option a chance.

This website isn't exactly overflowing with stunning samples of eligible singles on either side of the gender fence. You can pussyfoot around it all you like, but I have no interest in the vast majority of women that contact me on here -- and I doubt many of you are any different.
I used to politely thank them for the compliments, which resulted in a persistent, awkward push for more contact from them. That eventually led to the "Look you seem like a really nice gal but" conversation, which got tiresome. Now I just ignore the ones who are obvious mismatches for me. As arrogant as it sounds, it's just a lot easier than the headache and wasted time of fostering a dialogue that would ultimately go nowhere.

I know what you mean, Tiger, and you are right, you can be too nice sometimes. I think though, some of us are just looking for friends (and yes, that is what I prefer) and want someone to go do something with, but not looking to end up in bed. I'd like to find that kind of friend. Unfortunately it's hard to find that, too.

Yeah, that was a lot of fun.  I sure hope that I can get down there sometime next year, so we can do it again! The way things are now, it will probably be hard.

Well, hopefully I won't have money issues. It may be hard but not impossible! Don't worry, I'll find a way to come to Florida and see you again!!!
Wish you could come to Texas and come see some of us. I believe an East Texas get together is in the early planning stages.

Hey Arlington,
I would definitely think your question is very legitimate and I can understand a gals point of view. Of course their is always 2 sides to a coin but in all reality there are some decent nice dudes out their. Where are they? Well, a large majority of the nice type dudes are probably at home trying to determine where all the nice gals are much like yourself. Or possibly involved in internet dating as well. It is difficult for any guy to meet a nice gal in larger cities without the help of friends. It is true that men focus on a gals exterior (sex appeal) before any approach is made. I'd be lying if I said otherwise but men tend to go for the face and the bod much more, where women tend to bend a little more and allow for men to have flaws in that area. One thing in a gals favor is that you can take an average plain looking gal who has sex appeal and another beautiful looking gal (with little sex appeal) and you'll see that most men will take that average looking gal hands down. I suppose it's a curse from mother nature that men don't take the time to get to know a gal
and learn allabout her but men in general have one thing on their mind 99% of the time.........bingo you said it...booty.

They're out there, you just can't seem to pick 'em.
I used to think all women with emotional nut jobs, stalkers or flat out gold diggers. I know, I dated sooooo many of them. Then a friend pointed out an interesting tidbit, I/me was the one consistent factor in these relationships.
My freakin' picker was broke!  I've since fixed the picker and seem to be doing allot better. I recognized the issue was me and not them....

Lots of self work, Sign. I used tools. Some people go out and keep getting into bad relationships til they get it. I got tired of that so I clear it.
