Hey Spirit, did you know that the person that wrote Men/Mars Women/Venus, never even bothered to do research. NOt only are they not a psychologist, or a counselor, the entire book was based on opinion and supporting "facts" that support their opinion.
Either way, some parts of the book are correct...

What we are trying to say, Charlene, is when you come into a site and start bashing people (that means saying bad things about other people in general), do not be surprised if you get bashed back. People come in here being pissy and icky, it makes our fourms feel funky and some of us will give you back what you put out there.
Also, that which you sow (put out there) is that which you will reap. (is what ya get back) So, put it out there that all you get is blah blah blah and you will find what you expect to find.

I never "bashed" anybody, though I sure as heck would like to now, but then i am more of an adult than that. I thought we lived in a free country where we were allowed the freedom of speech? But guess what, we do, and I did, and I don't care if I made you mad, I have a right to say what I want to say. As far as the Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus comment, I have read that book back when I was younger, and found it to be the biggest waste of time I have spent in a book! I find my Christian dating books and relationship books to be much better and definitely more insightful.
Guerrero, I don't have low expectations, nor are they too high. I don't ask for much but what I do ask for is extremely important.

Good men and women everywhere. They are attracted to people that have better attitudes usually. Some do like their mates fiesty or blaming tho. Maybe you will catch a man that way, Charlene. I could be totally wrong. Ignore me. Carry on!
Guerrero, I have listened to the tape with several people and the guys do agree the book does have LOTS of good info. The only thing I could see wrong with it was that he claimed men were all this and women were all that. When in actuality, men and women had BOTH sides many times.
I use it strictly as a menu and a means of communicating that does not point fingers at anyone. When you listen to the unabridged tapes with your SO, you can say, hey, I am that or no...I am NOT that, please do NOT do that to me, it is not me. And so can he. It also shows people that they are NOT broken because it is common to MANY men and women.
Too many times, other relationships tried to tell their SOs that they were screwed up for this or that. That book/tapes shows differently and makes you NOT broken and NOT wrong. It is a great relationship book with the right attitude.

there are good men out there like myself.. but unlike what some other guy
said, negative doesn't attract positive.. of course it does in the world of physics and magnetics. it's just the fruity goofy women out there are too lost in their walt disney dream world of positive crap that they overlook good guys who are negatively charged.
negative people are better equipped at handling problems, while pseudo positives are mostly useless eaters... positive people are usually fake and hide behind fake photos and profiles. meanwhile negative people like myself, put it all out there on the table and have nothing to hide...
