For all of you people out there that merrily go along saying immigration is not a problem, we are the melting pot, doesn't hurt anyone, they are taking jobs Americans don't want, it doesn't impact anyone to have them here, Americans are not getting passed over for jobs because of their presence, blah blah f***INGBLAH! I call bullshit.
I had the job. I was ready to go part time real estate and full time leasing. Close to home, nice complex, would have been working with a friend. I was ready. The boss liked me and I did very well in the interview. One minor thing... I DON'T SPEAK SPANISH. So, I didn't get the job.
Thank you to all you idiots that come here and f*** up my opportunity to get a good job with security. Thanks a lot.
The only redeeming thing is that she is keeping my resume on file, in case there happens to be an opening for a complex in the area that doesn't require a Spanish Speaking person... fat f***ing chance in Texas.

Right with you girl.
They say that we cannot dend them back,..I dissagree. I say fine anyone that hires, rents to, caters to or hides illegal aliens. That includes churches.
If they have no job, no where to live,...they will go home on their own.

We can only hope.. I am tired of the whole thing also.. I wish sometimes there was somewhere to go... But alas there is no where to go as immigrants both the legal and illegal entitled ones are everywhere..
To bad that these people won't stay in their own countries and fix their own problems..

I agree. Screw spanish. The Mexicans coming across the border don't even speak proper Spanish, so a Spanish class likely will do no good.
I took four years of Spanish in high school and two years in college. It's a COMPLETELY different language from what the illegals speak.

I know a little bit of spanish, enough to ask someone their name, address, telephone number and ssn, where they work, how they are paid, their nationality, things like that. (former eligibility worker) However, 9 times out of 10, when I ask them properly, they don't understand, and I have to make it spanglish:
Qual es su nombre = Como Te llama, Donde viva es, y qual es el numero de casa Usted= Su direccion favor?, etc.
So, in order to communicate, I'd have to learn spanish, then hang out with someone who speaks spanglish for a couple of years... doesn't help my situation right now, though.

I am not immigrant though I came here from Europe! Married a man from here! Started looking for job recently! Its impossible! I dont know who hires illegal immigrants! I pay my taxes, auto insurance, health insurance, property tax etc.etc.etc... I have lots of educations and worked for Americam petroleum companies for many yrs. But when I came to any office they offer me only 50% of what they would pay to locals. And many times hiring managers called me saying - you are overqualified! So funny! Re Spanish! As far as I remember history Spanish speaking people always lived here and lots of them are not immigrants - they were born here! Im mistaken probably - have to read history again! I didnt come here having a working visa looking for money! I didnt come here to fix any my problem - I just met a great person and there was nothing bad that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. Actually all of you are looking for exactly the same here right now... Immigration is a natural process - people are moving looking for something, everyone has his own reason! Immigrants are in any country! So why saying this ---> But alas there is no where to go as immigrants both the legal and illegal entitled ones are everywhere.. To bad that these people won't stay in their own countries and fix their own problems.. ----> Why legal immigrants are included? I made visas to american citizens before and nobody was angry in my country! They were LEGAL! This is a problem actually! Rich people are making money using illegal immigrants as slaves! Why not blaming them? Somebody hires illegals and pays money to them, somebody gives them a place to live, somebody helps them to send money home. When I want to send smth to my daughter they always ask for any ID. So american people are interested in a cheap labor! Why not blaming them? Mexican government is so happy! No need to fix any financial problem at all! So nice! The boarder line is wide opened! Everybody go to USA! American companies are waiting for you there! So sweet! I already left my reply at jnwaco's blog about immigrants... The theme is very painful to tell you the truth! Its how I see it! I still think that companies are guilty!

I agree, I don't think the legal immigrants are the ones messing everything up. It's the illegal immigrants who tend to get free housing, free medical, etc etc. And I see nothing wrong with speaking Spanish, or Italian or French or whatever. Learning is always good for you. I think what makes me the maddest is that the illegals get better medical attention than I do with my insurance. Go figure.

As texans, I think Spanish should be taught as a second language. Our education level is soooo far behind the rest of the modern world it's a little sickening.
People in other countries know a minimum of 3 languages.
With the exception of Mexicans coming to the US lol.

Opened my pc in the morning and here it is http://www.matchdoctor.com/blog_56638/ILLEGAL_IMMIGRATION.html - another post in blogs. So its a real problem here for every one. I actually like his idea - if you feel for illegal immigrants - take them home and pay for all their needs! This is a very right idea! Media says there are more then 32 millions of them here! Sure they take money from a pocket of an average american family! Prisons are not for them either - tax payers have to pay to keep them there. Administration must take decision I think! I heard yesterday that political parties could be interested in making illegal immigrants legal so they will support those parties. Is that true? Godless was so right - not easy to find job! A job market is very taugh now! War, moving businesses to China etc already make job hunt hard. Mexican immigrants is a real problem in Texas. Can you tell here pls about Spanish speaking - if they were born here why ignoring America for so many yrs and not learning English? Its something I dont understand! English is an official language why wasting money and print double-languages forms, record phone conversations etc... Its a waste! There is another question I wanted to ask - why social services are so nice to illegal immigrants? I knew one woman fr Europe who came here through Cuba, married an american man, divorced him in 3 months and social services gave her food stamps, paid rent and even 23,000 for her surgery! Its amazing! Why not making her ex to pay for that or just sending her back home? Why everybody is so polite? My friend had a wife dying of cancer, they had not enough insurance so they lost both cars, a house and a business - a wonderful woman died and sweet social services gave him a small appartment and food stamps. I saw him when it happened - his eyes were dead, he was distroyed! I am sure it would be better to send money to health and help sick people instead of investing into illegal- immigration-solving-problems funds. Sorry for my long post but I love so hard-working american people and would like to know what you think!

Very rare that you will find anyone against LEGAL immigration. Also, this post was more or less referring to the non-assimilation of some immigrants.- and how America rolls over to take it in the ass every single time!
But, since you brought it up, here goes. Marrying someone to become a legal immigrant is unethical and technically illegal if it can be shown that either money changed hands for the event or the event took place specifically to avoid immigration channels. If those two things cannot be shown, That lady was legal.
Also, I just came from a long stint of issuing benefits to the public. I remember specifically having a celebration lunch with a friend over the new immigration policies regarding Food Stamps. This is federal food stamps, not state food stamps that some states have (like California). Those entering the us prior to 08/17/96 (I think that's the date) are considered permanently sponsored by another legal alien or a citizen, whose income and property will also be used to determine benefits. It makes it so that majority of them don't even come in to apply, let alone receive the stamps.
