Ok here is the deal. Although I am an only child and it is stated in my parent's will that I am to be executor of the will....and both parent's have passed away 6 weeks ago...and yes I've already gotten a lawyer and go to court this wednesday sept 5th...what I want to know is when I do go to court, is this the time when the judge will grant and sign everything over to me? I quit my job to take care of my parent's back in Dec, 2005 and they died this past July. Dad never put anything over into my name. So I have been sitting here idle by waiting for some stanger to sign stuff over to me that belongs to me anyway as put in the will. Can anybody tell me what goes on in will probates? Dad did not have alot of bills and the house is paid for, so is his car.

From my understanding the judge will sign every thing over to you as long as there is no other person to contest this in court
