There are cowboys here. I see them here all the time. Of course, everyone has a different definition of cowboy.  I have seen a few in the forums as well.

I prefer horses to bikes. You can often reason with a horse. Doesn't hurt so bad when you fall off either.

My sister got a bad concussion from getting bucked off her horse when ducks spooked it. You're up like 8 feet in the air plus higher if they are bucking like hers was. You're only like 4 feet in the air on a bike and the bike only does what you tell it to so no pain here since I tell my bikes not to crash.

Reason with a horse????
You should have seen Bill (one of our horses) RIP the rope to pieces that was holding him to the corral fence and run off. Nope, horses are crazy PERIOD! You don't get a chance to reason with them when you are running through a pasture and something spooks one. MUCH more dangerous to fall off of too and if they step in a hole and break their leg you have to shoot them. You have to brush them and water them to cool them off after you ride them too. Pain in the ass. Bikes are more fun, faster and do what you tell them.

But, but, but Rad! I can pick horses! I can tell which ones are gonna be a problem. Roads are different. Owie! Road rash SUCKS! I have a few scars. Wanna see?

You can't pick which one is going to get spooked or step in a hole can you? ALL horses can act crazy off n on. Lightning spooked my sisters horse and it ran into the steps up against a power pole ripping a huge gash in one leg. Fortunately no tendon damage resulted and we didn't have to shoot it but it also shook the pole so much a power line jumped off one of the insulators dropping it down onto the wire below. This caused sparks to rain down onto the dry grass below starting a fire that burned up about 2 acres of grass before the fire department could put it out. 
Yeah SURE horses are no problem
Road rash? Been riding since 1968 and only have a little gravel rash I got 2 years ago (don't ride hungover!) which was my ONLY halfway serious fall ever. Besides we are comparing riding on dirt with both right? Or were you talking about riding horses on the road?
