Dang, I would have to work on the week-end. I'm off on Mondays and Tuesdays now but we're about to change. I will have Sat. and Sun. for the next 3 months. Yepeeee !!! I only get week-ends once a year. I'd better make the most of it. I don't live too far from Conroe. My brother used to have a house there. I hope you have a great week-end and get lots of business.

The Texas Prison Museum is actually pretty cool. You can see "old sparky", the electric chair used in Texas executions!!
There are also a few serial killers buried in the prison graveyard (located just around the corner from Bearkat stadium). You have to know what you are looking for though, I think they have numbers instead of names on them.
Might be fun for a first date.

Haha, LJ, yeah, sure, for an empath and someone that 'feels' energy? I don't think so. Urgh. Wonder how many orbs I would be able to find on pictures there.

First Saturday in October is Fair On The Square in Huntsville.
They did have some type of re-enactment thing going for a while. Don't know if they still do. Check out the Walker County/Huntsville Chamber of Commerce.

Come join the fun in Downtown Conroe on October 10, 11, 12, 2008 Weekend activities begin on Friday night, October 10th, with some of the hippest music from the Texas entertainment industry. In appreciation to all our sponsors(excludes pole sign), a “VIP Sponsor Appreciation Dinner” will be held on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. (limited VIP invitations).
Continuous music all weekend long from our Texas Stage, Cajun Stage, Willie B’s Stage, Patio Stage, and family entertainment from our Kid’s Small Fry Stage. Our entertainment line-up is one of the main reasons our festival patrons keep coming back each year. This is the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival’s 19th year to return by popular demand. Each year this festival only gets bigger and better. Where else but TEXAS! Our festival attendance keeps climbing. Last year we played host to over 30,000 festival guests.
Other activities include -Arts and Crafts exhibitors from all over Texas and from other states near and far. “Tastes of Texas Area” showcasing food and wine sampling, displays, and even Texas sounds. Families can come out and spend the day in our Kid’s Area that includes children’s fun rides, Monster Mural, petting zoo, amusements, pony rides, and the Small Fry Stage where young dancers from several local dance and art schools perform.
No need to bring your fishing poles, the Catfish is already on the grill! But catfish is not the only food you’ll find at the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival, you’ll have plenty of items to choose from; shrimp, gumbo, frog legs, alligator, boudain, sausage, turkey legs, chicken, red beans and rice, and much more.
