All I have been getting emails from are scammers, golddiggers and cam girls. Is anyone else having this problem?

I receive emails from spammers all the time. Yes, there are real women on this site. You'll have better luck in the blogs.

Vikki, a sign of a scammer is someone that shoots someone their private email right off the bat...just like you did. Scammer or desperate.
People that want to take advantage of people will exchange emails right off then track the people thru their email. Not very intelligent to post your email here.

I can never understand the desire to jump immediately into regular email, since the mail in MD works almost exactly the same for communication. I haven’t had a spammer in months. Once a month I get a Chinese lady, and I try to help her by correcting her grammar, but they never write back.
There are real women in here. ^^^

yes, but they are as few and far between as trying to find a real man also. i can't believe how many con-artists i've heard from and there are many on this site. they arn't too intelligent though or think most of us women are really stupid because they send out red flags in the very beginning. scammers are so disgusting to try and take advantage of the down and out. i also can't believe the men in my age range that just want barbie dolls, women they can control, and such self-centered men! they are so egotistic and male chauvanist! have ran into so many sex addicts, men who want kinky and deviat sex, or want it 24-7 like there is nothing else in life to enjoy, where are the men who enjoy normal, passionate, romantic sex? anyway, i've been searching a long time and i give all guys the benefit of the doubt untill they prove me wrong.

You get what you pay for... This site can be complete torture sometimes. When you do find one with a pulse and somewhat attractive...meet em for coffee cause there's a greater than 90% chance you're going to want to run within the first 5 minutes of meeting.

There are all kinds of real people here...My thoughts are that if you want to get a feel for them or let people get a feel for you...Post a blog, start a forum thread...Roam the site.
It's all free and all it will do will show all of us what a great catch you are.
...Most people only get scammer mail because they don't bother checking any other area's of MD out...And we all get regular scammer mail...Just delete and report!

^^^ What Fender said. You can get a real feel for a lot of people in the forums. People DO meet others on here. Spirit has, I have and many others I know have met and dated from MD. Just keep looking.

Yeah, Niceguy (and Hoodoo). There are lots of fakes but that is all over the world and not just online. Online is just lots easier to fake unwary people out. Great place to grow up and get educated.
Like Fender and Sign said, good to get into the forums and blogs. Might be better to browse old topics tho and pull up one you like and bump it up to the top by posting to it. The coolest (and some of the nastiest) people and most real people (and biggest fakes) are communicating and interacting with each other here in the forums and in the blogs.
It shows their intelligence or lack thereof and their courage...or fearfulness. It shows people who you are eventually and you become part of the real menu. It also shows people if you can interact with others. You know, how you act when you play in other's sandboxes.
Welcome to the forums, people. Hope we see more of you.

I am real, who could fake that picture? Anyway, another way to detect scammers is the way they use English. We everyday use our slang, but they (scammers) have no idea of the slang, so the letters received look like a foreigner scam artist(usually is). When I see a email addy in the first contact, I report and delete. You'd think they'd learn by now that one of the biggest tip-offs!!!!!!!! Or they call you darling, lover, or dear all in the first letter!!!
