hi y'all ;
To those that doesn't know this area ,it has a lot of history,we have the brag lite (national geographic) some call it the ghost lite,either way I saw it when I was a little kid and it scared the hell outta me..legend has it that the light man for the train company was hit and it cut his head off and he's looking for it ,in those days they used lanterns to flag trains and change tracks,My grampa was 100 years old and he told me that story, and I just had to see it,so my older sisters and brothers took me .after I saw it I had nite mares for a long time..look it up in national geographics,they had no explanition for the light either..has anyone else seen this light?? would love to hear your stories

Well heck, give me a town where that is. I belong to a ghost hunting group and I will see if they know about your light. I don't travel much with them but when they are hunting close to me i meet up with them. Got some cool orb pix in galveston. Wow! Strand St has a bunch of floaters. I even got a very large orb pic at the Jean LaFitte mansion ruins on Harborside Dr.
We are going to have a Paranormal Ball with several ghost hunter groups in October with halloween costumes at the Balinese (which has some stories behind it).

Wish I'd seen this thread sooner but yeah, I've seen the ghost light a few times. When I lived near Crosby we made a few trips to see the light and although it took a few hours sometimes it was always reliable. The legend that you mentioned seems to be the more popular version but I've heard several others (one being that its one of the willow-wisps) although I don't really remember any of them in great detail.

Another fun one thing to go see is The Face in Galveston. Nothing too amazing but obviously you won't have to worry about a "no show".
