Send pics by private e-mail only!!!!! or better still.....send pics to loved ones by good old snail mail 
I personally will not allow any pics of kids( relatives or not) under the age of eighteen to be sent to me.
Child Porn is big! what do you have stored on your computer that could be used against you???

Single parents with young kids,,,don't inform on your profile that you have young kids. IF you do meet someone and it seems ok let them know that you have kids. If they freak out, then they aren't parent/husband material. Kids come first and the right person will feel that way too!

We live in a new Mass Communication/Internet World, that encourages women to continue the high school popularity contest far into adulthood.
I saw another thread today that asked the question. "How do you define yourself?". The Question should have been "Who do you define yourself to?"
Since we've completely marginalized men in the reproductive and child rearing role, with welfare, poorly thought out divorce law and insane domestic violence law, which allows women to banish men from their fatherhood role, unless he meekly say yes to every crazy, irresponsible thing women come up with. (Gee theres a concept. Women can be irresponsible as well as men.)
We've created a generation of welfare breeder sows with internet blogs. Who define themselves, all to often by the number of friends they will never meet in their Facebook Friends list.
So, is it really any big surprise that when we remove the marriage and family as the yardstick by which women used to define themselves. Once we set them up as little single mom units of one, Where everything on the planet is more important than the disposable sperm donor male. "I'm more important, the children are more important, my mothers more important, global warming is more important, my blogs and dating sites are more important". Women have been taught that males are the least important thing in their lives. Easily replaced by welfare for sustenance and the internet for company.
These self centered, brooder hens with internet, begin to use every thing in their lives as PROPS for their internet persona. Children, Pets family. In an attempt to Define themselves as a good person to their nameless emotional support circle in cyberspace.
Thats how pictures of their children often get pimped onto the internet. Right next to single mommies tastes in sex toys, whether or not she likes anal sex and her humorous online slut test.
Is it any wonder that online predators would target women on a site where they post pictures of their kids in the same place they answer questions about their sacred and unquestionable sexuality.
Yes all pedophiles should hang, but I think we have to take a serious look at the social networking culture that is ever increasingly placing information about children in sexually charged environments where that information has no business being.
There are plenty of wholesome places on the internet for a woman to talk about and show off her kids. A site with a forum, where she can discuss whether or not she prefer various form of sodomy is not really a great place to showcase her young.
These Pedophiles don't target women because they simply have kids. They target them because they post slutty trash and then post their kids on top of it,
So much for todays Evo reality check.

I respectfully disagree, on a part of this 
. At least where I live, men can still have their visitation, even when not paying child support.
And yes-it works both ways. I know Dads that have custody, and the Mom's are not dependable.
It's too bad when irresponsible people bear children

imho..it is not the fault of the parent... and .. posting a picture on the internet..(facebook..myspace...etcetera...) should not be criticized...
but posting them on a dating site,, indeed seems not needed, nor warranted......,.. the rub is... this site is more than just a dating site....

I wasn't on MD at the time this was originally posted, it's good info to think about. Until the wierdoantiwomanfreak took over the thread. I do not post pics of my kid, and have never posted it on a dating site. I did post some previously on anther site of friends. And I had met almost all of them, and those I had not met, someone I knew well had met them.
But in the here and now...... my daughter is 17, and built like a linebacker. I'm pretty sure she's not pedofodder.
