My girls can be so much fun!!! This weekend my three year old and I got manicures and pedicures - a treat for us from her grandmother.... Pink toes and french manicures... She loved the jacuzi tub for our feet and the fancy massage chair... Great fun!!! Any of you have any similar stories of "girl" time or "guy" time.. with the kiddos???

I just mowed the lawn with my 11y/o. He got 10 bucks, and I got to stand around and watch. Worked for me.

I tried to take my three year old daughter for a mani and pedi...and well..she just wasn't having it. She just stood there and watched me get my nails done. Then....when it was time for the foot tub...she'd get in the chair, but her feet weren't going anywhere near the bubbly bath. Oh well...it was fun for me...and at least I'm sorta getting her in the right direction! LOL I'm gonna keep trying though!

I took my little guy to a baseball game..his first one about month ago. We sat in wonderful seats..four seats from home plate!! He got to see all the players up close...the cheering.....the lights...he was in kid heaven. To top it off, he got a baseball!! The bat boy of the opposing team knew someone in the front row, and kept giving the stray balls to that guy. That guy then turned around, and walked right up to my son...and me with tears welling up in my eyes...he gave the ball to my 2 year old. I may not be a guy...but that to me, was guy time.

I don't have boys, but I can imagine what that must have been like! Last night, my younger two and I sat on the couch and watch "Friends".... It was the one where "Rachel & Ross" sing "Baby Got Back" to make "Emma" laugh out loud. We went to bed singing "I Like Big Butts"...
My little three year old, Reese, held my hand almost all night long... So very sweet

I don't have girls so I have to be one of the guys. lol. I took my 2 oldest boys to an ultimate fighting event a few weeks ago. We made "bets" on who would win and they talked to a few fighters too. I guess that was a guy thing to do but since I know some about fighting maybe it was almost as good as "guy time." They thanked me for taking them and talked about it all the way home so I guess I did OK.

Airshows are awesome!! And- fishing:)
Yesterday, we got Father's Day presents - and we had to do a bit of shopping for them on the side - very glittery flip flops with sparkley butterflies... girls are so fun:)
Okay - I guess it is more politically correct to say "children are so fun:)"

Even after they're all grown up, they're still fun! My oldest son lives in NYC, my younger natural son and my youngest foster son live here in Phoenix with me, but foster son is about to take wings and fly (OK, drive, with a trailer) to Illinois to start his grown up independent life...so last week was probably our last vacation together. We did a lot of things, but the signature piece for us was the Mets-DBacks ball game on Saturday night. We've always been a baseball family, and while it was bittersweet, it was really wonderful.

Heaven - 'sounds awesome!!! I've had a great time with my girls this weekend... Yesterday, we drove nine hours together.... I kept saying, "We cannot stop a lot or we will never get there.".... Finally, my oldest said, "Mom u keep saying that - don't u know of course we'll get there- just lots later than u plan."...
Man, they are way toooo smart sometimes

My daughter is about to be 21 years old , I can hardly believe where the time has flown. She has always loved pretending to be different persona's and dress up in costumes and galavant around the neighborhood. Her greatest joy was having me indulge in as well. She would be in hysterics when I would be willing to do my grocery shopping dressed as a pirate , a hippy or what ever she created for me. She still loves doing this till this day , She wears a costume to movie openings and book signings , conventions etc.

i have two teen age girls and i like to make each one feel special so once a month i take one at a time and we go do lunch and shop and just hang out.its awesome and at 16,17 my kids are so well behaved people are amazed .i say its from respecting them as indivuales and having them show me the same.my girls will come to me for everything from teen problems at school to sex.best advice i can give anyone is always listen to your kids even when its not something you want to hear.
