WHAT A CROCK THAT IS  , HAVEN'T MET ONE HAPPY COUPLE SINCE I MOVED HERE  .HAVEN'T MET A MAN WORTH HAVING SINCE I LIVED HERE.  DID GET RAPED BY GUNPOINT BY SOME IDIOT I MET ONLINE   , THAT WAS A REALLY BADDDDDDDDD DATE TO SAY THE LEAST. I'M OUT OF HERE   , MOVING TO GEORGIA, LOOKING TO MEET SOME NEW PEOPLE AND HOPE IT'S BETTER LIVING THERE THAN IT HAS BEEN HERE.  NEVER KNOW IF THE GRASS IS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE UNTIL YOU TAKE A LOOK... BYE VIRGINIA, GEORGIA, HERE I COME...

I'm sorry you've had such a horrible experience in this state. Maybe you're just in the wrong part, lol. I won't pretend that all aspects of our state are wonderful (I mean, just look at our crappy alcohol laws), but there are some really amazing people. I've lived all over the state. From Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, and now I live in the mountains on the western side of the state. So trust me, I've seen the ugly side. Just don't count out the beautiful side as well. 
Oh, and my husband and I have been married for 7 years, and while we may be a minority, we are very very happy. Just wanted to give you a glimmer of hope.

heheheheheheeh, dumbass..... hehehe, hehe, heheheheh. what i know of VA has given me a little of both. more to one side than the other at times, but i have to take into account what i was doing to give me the summation of my experience, as well. i did some dumb shit in my time, but hey, thats how we learn. most of the assholes i live around in reston dont have the time of day to acknowledge the fact that someone said hello to them, but there are plenty of other beautiful people that still remember how to smile. take it ease

well ladytolove maybe you should come to the real virginia besides you can't judge all men because of one man i have had bad luck with men as well but there are some real gentlemen out in this world besides what stae do you think you can go to and find that all men are perfect there yes i know i am a woman defending men but also i am sure men have had bad luck with women so just move on

hahahahahahahahaha west virgina ... thats for inbreds. Virginia for lovers? I've lived here for 6 years and agree too many assholes all cramed in one place. Women seem a little too materialistic and slutty that is if you can find someone interested in a relationship. Its the state to be in if you have money and looking for casual sex. I've been to Atlanta Georgia on a trip in the USMC highly recommend Mardi Graws.  .. I'm still looking though.

I have lived in Virgnia all my life and as happy as they come! I am single and love it that way. It's not the state, its where you go inside that state. If you go to bars? you are going to meet bar type people. So maybe it's not the state, maybe its where you been looking and going to with in that state.. all states have good area's and bad area's. If you move to a state just because of a slogan? or always thinking the grass is greener? you will be moving the rest of your life. Life is what you make it to be!! So don't go to a trash dump looking for a gold mine.. and the best of luck to you!

I find it interesting that no matter where you are, somebody's always trashing the place. People in my hometown in Upstate New York trash it all the time, and some of them never moved away. Everywhere I've lived, there have been people who trashed the place. It was boring, depressing, yada yada yada. So far, I've enjoyed Virginia and had lots of fun — even in NOVA, who someone posted was so boring. I think it doesn't matter where you are, it's all about what you make of it. Except for Pennsylvania. That was pretty depressing ;)

Maybe it's your profile. It says you live in TN, yet want to meet someone within 500 miles from somewhere in Georgia. Then in your post you talk about Virginia. It's confusing to me and probably others.
I'm just an oldish hippie that gets along with wildlife down at the local lake/park better than i do MOST humans. Am somewhat reserved and awkward until one gets to know me.

i too am sorry you had something that bad happen to you here. but every state has its bad apples, towns, etc. i also want to apoligize lot of people that replied to this are insensitive assholes. its not a joking matter when someone violates your rights as a person. but please you shouldnt think ill of the state of VA ive seen many beautiful places and people here. at same time i have also seen alot of assholes and crack heads. i hope you have better luck in georgia but parts of that state are even worse than what it is here.
