Its not just you, it's also getting so congested with people from all over the place that you can hardly breathe, be okay if they were friendly people but they aren't, they really really aren't.

I agree that there are a lot of stuck-up pricks around here, but if you look hard enough you will find some decent people. I have awesome friends that I wouldn't trade for anything.

I find it hard to find new friends, but part of that may be that I am somewhat reticent. Some of my long time friends are here, and they are a big reason why I would not want to move far from the area.

I agree I've been here a while and just get the desire to runaway somewhere new. It's hard to meet new people, but seems everyone I went to high school with is still around. And it still is a challange to come up with something exciting to do that doesn't require a trip into DC.

Thank goodness others agree that there are quite a few stuck up folks in the area. I've been here for exactly one year and have no friends to show for it but I don't plan on giving up just yet. I love the area but I wish the people would just grow up.

we can all agree that the air is generally rank, and that is part of the problem right there. focus more on what you want to bring into the society that you live in, meaning take the lead and set the example, and the generosity and respect that you can exude will attract the people that you are looking to meet. i have had a lot of problems expressing myself becuase i was focusing all of my time on looking for the 'donkeys' that i lost sight of all of the beauty that was passing my by. i was becoming another of the ass'. those became the people that were looking for me, because i was still the same kind and generous person. greedy bastards tried to take my glow. but with knowledge comes the opportunity to grow. i hope that i have not lost my flow.

maybe the feeling was not ever truly there. how can so many people be looking for something and it never be found? it must have been a dream

I agree...I had a lot of good times in Springfield with friends but these days, I'd have to say, Arlington, Old Town, and DC are the best places to go out.

never got to party in chose places arlington is full of mexicans, don't know much about old town, and DC is full of crack heads with guns trying to prove themselves. We used to be the outdoor party people, we would party at night so we could build a fire especially in winter put up a small wind break by fire, warm as hell even on the cold nights. how well do you know saratoga shopping center and surrounding area? thats where the parties used to be especially in the Green Hills subdivision. How long have you lived in nova?
