With all the moisture we have been having plus the temperature drop, I have seen children playing in the snow and car wrecks. Time to dig my snow shovel back out of the garage.

Ahhhh, but now it's all starting to melt as of today........ At least here in Everett anyway.
Never got a chance to make a snowman or Igloo.

Thank goodness I could smell it coming about 4 hours before it hit. We were able to get out and get stocked up (snowed in without chocolate? NEVER!!!) before it hit. School for the week was a joke. Kids only made it two days, one two hours late and the next was already scheduled as an early release.

It has barely warmed up here in the upper skagit area... lot's of black ice on Hwy 20 and I still have a good 5" of snow

Thought it was basically gone, until yesterday when I went from Everett to Monroe. The pea soup fog was bad enough, but over there the ground was still white. Almost just turned around and headed back home at the very sight of the stuff

It snowed big time the last couple of days with tons of car accidents on I-5 and I-90. I am glad that it's melting a little bit.
Watch out for the standing water in those storm drain areas.

You people aren't gonna believe this but one year from the date that I originated this thread ......it is now snowing large flakes of snow in and over Everett for the first time this Winter. Wow, what a coincidence.
Better get the snow shovel ready. It's sticking

since i am prepared with a new motor for the snow blower i "inheirated" from my dad, i doubt i will ever see snow again. well i can hope can't i ?

 ok now I hear snow at 200 level coming this evening now comes the mad rush for panic.......and the stores and the roads.......and....of all places I will be in the middle of the mad frantic at Costco   time to gear up and be ready  Be safe everyone, I was out yesterday and saw the panic start for people getting chains and things

well so far no snow   I don't want another last year again we may get the what 1 inch I just hate the black ice here.......when it is that cold....... but..as long as I got everything here food and drinks and candles ...battery chargers for my radios ect.....I am set....... otherwise it is hotel for me....... hey you guys

Hello from Tacoma....yes, they say it will snow a bit. I lived in Idaho in a snow belt area for many years....It is strange to here everyone freak out when they say snow. I used to drive back and forth to work everyday on mountain hwys in the stuff. It is not a big deal if you drive for the conditions.....SLOW DOWN. That is one thing that I notice about People on the west side of the mountians. They dont slow down, or they just plain panic and HIT THE BRAKES  . I do see that it is an issue because they dont plow the streets or maintain them as they should. I never had 4 wheel drive just my front wheel drive car. I never had an issue.
A few pointers:
Dont hit the brakes if you can help it. Shift into neutral that stops your tires from getting power.
If you have to go up a hill shift down. 1st or 2nd gear. Do not stop while climbing the hill up won't get started again.
Just a bit of info.....I learned to drive in the snow by going into a parking lot late at night and playing around in it to see what my car would do....it really does help.
