dude, been six for me so I know the feeling.
I'm a trucker and I work 70 hours a week ever week for months on end. women take one look at my picture and say either one of two things: Goodbye, or "Oh your not so bad... there's someone ELSE out there for you. just nit me..."
I have little to no familly that actually wants me around, so yeah. I totally know the feeling.

Hey I was alone too, and have been for a long time... as far as your appearance, I like it... your attractive... and truckers are the most special people out there... (I work for a trucking co. and used to be one)
The only family I really have is my kids and grandkids... and they all have pretty busy lives so dont get to see them near as much as I would like... Hope the New Year brings good things your way tho... watch out for pumpkins...

i know how u all feel... ive spent pretty much all my adult life alone on new yrs and probably will for a long period of time for yrs to come other then being with family, but its not always a bad thing if u really think about it...
things may seem like we will never find the right person we can be with for holidays but if we think positive things will look up for us all at some point in time in our lives

Although not alone completely, it's been quite a few years since I've had a memorable New Years Eve. By that I mean not feeling like the "odd man out" when midnight rolls around & there's no one to give that first kiss of the year to.

I know what you mean. I too am a trucker, even though I have kids. I work most holidays, I just don't like coming home to a empty house. Right now I'm layed off. So holidays will be lonly, no truckstops to set and eat at and maybe talk to someone, or just set back and watch fanilies enjoying themself. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Chirstmas, and a Happy New Year

I used to go out with a very good friend for New Years every year, until her and her children were brutally murdered 2 years ago this January. I'd trade that one night a year with my friend for just about anything in the world. Being alone ain't so bad from where I'm sitting, I miss them very much. Sigh...

nothing wrong with being alone. I have been alone for years and it is growing on me so either the "right person" comes along or not but still can have fun!

I knew I was going to be alone this New Years, the same as I have been for the last 12 plus years. . .This year my daughter, future son-in-law and I threw a New Years Eve Party for 28 children. We had a blast. Why? because we felt it was a good thing to do. . . at midnight, I kissed my children, told them how much I love them and also how much I appreciate, love and embrace them. I wouldn't have it any other way right. So, happy new years and may it bring you happiness and a life time of joy.
