what i dislike in small towns is seems the bar is where ou go to find a match. am not a drinker. and i have this flaw where i rock like a screen door in a wind storm when nervous lol. its a mental thing i have any way i was wondering 3 things. 1 are there others on here like me who feel safer looking online due flaws there scared to show in person and disliking the bar scene. 2 i may whine how my small town is small but i love it. it feels ice to know what is around and see the deer and watch the eagles fly by. i want to ask if other on here love there small town.. and last question feels like i do they love to call there small town home.

The town I live in is not that small but seems the same way, that people go to meet others in the "bar scene" I don't drink much anymore since I have had a child plus am a single mom so weeeeeeeeeeeeeee internet searching for my soul mate is where it's at for me!

I love Ripon for the very same reasons you mentioned about your town. It's clean, quiet, & in my opinion just the right size. But, I can relate to your frustration on meeting others too, as I agree.. the options are pretty much the bars. I'm not a bar person either. This area in general (lower Fox Valley) is VERY tough to meet decent singles. I've only met one really sweet gal from this area in the 5 years I've been in Match Doctor.

It seems it gets worse with time too. Seems there's always a "catch" once you do meet someone.

do what I did . . . move from a small city to a smaller town that's a hot spot for some type of seasonal tourism. Gotta love the small town simplicity AND the cute little snow bunnies slaloming their way down the slopes!

That's actually a pretty good idea. I'll have to try & get to Green Lake more this Summer, & hopefully I'll see some ladies there that don't have a ring on the left finger, or a guy attached @ the hip.

You guys are lucky, I live near state line and we have so many people it's dam unreal! I liked it up north by stevenspoint a lot better, also been to nekoosa a lot really like it there. Crime getting worse here in kenosha county I would avoid kenosha county like it was the plague.
