From Marshfield to Montello and back...

Posts: 17 About two months ago I had this brilliant idea and thought to move my son and I from Marshfield to Montello where I had some extended family and I believed being out in the country away from the big city life sounded beautiful and that I would be happier and it would be better for my son and I. I thought wrong and now I am back "home".

I believe that there was a higher power at work during these past few months and that is God. The reason I say this is because during my time there staying with my dad and stepmom, I had bought a new used car and was going to just sell the other one to whoever needed or wanted to buy it. My dad and stepmoms car quit working and so I gave the car to them. A couple weeks after that my stepmom fell and fractured her pelvic bone and was bedridden. I helped by keeping the house clean,doing dishes, cooking, taking care of their 15 year old dog and taking care of her and my dad. A couple weeks after that their 15 year old dog that they had since it was a puppy passed on and they were heartbroken(pets are family also ya know) I was there for support.

During all that going on I realized with other things going on outside of the home that the school systems here in Marshfield are great and it is all my son has ever known and his daddy is here and all kids need their daddy as much as they need their mommy. The hospital in Marshfield is great and the clinic. They have always provided excellent care for my son and I. I also started hearing from other moms in montello area that doctors and schools are not the greatest in that area.

I have realized and learned that things are not always as bad as they seem or we may think they are sometimes. I know now I should have never left Marshfield and I never will again. It is quite nice here and I can visit the country and get away for a break whenever I want to. I also have had my eyes open to the fact that my family here in marshfield and friends are there for me more than I thought they were.

Sometimes it is different how we grow and mature and learn things and the things we go through to have our eyes opened to the wonderful truth and blessings that were there all along.

During these past few months I have completely put all control of my life in Gods hands and I have realized that my life and life path have been in Gods hands all along and that this was just another road on the path he already has mapped out for me. I have learned and am more mature and appreciative now and I am truly blessed and grateful for how I was there to help in time of need and have learned important life lessons in the process.
