So...it was 94 degrees with 46% humidity here in Nashville today.
I-65 traffic on the way home was the usual crawl.
So, what's a girl to do to make it all better?
Shoe shopping! I found such a great sale, I bought 2 pair!
I know that might not work for everyone, but I'm a shoe person. I probably have more shoes than I'll ever be able to wear the new off of, but I can't resist a cute pair of pumps - or sandals - or stacks - or boots.
I'm all better now!

For the 3rd day in a row I pulled my lounge chair out into the backyard in the afternoon to soak up some of the sun. We had at least a continuous week of cloudy skies and T-storms so I was going out of my mind. I listened to classical music, read and prayed and just admired the sight of the green leaves of the trees against a clear blue sky, filled me with thankfullness of being alive!
On Tuesday I went out supposedly to buy meat but instead returned home with a new pair of jeans, a pair of shorts, 3 tops, a dress and custom jewelry to match and not an ounce of guilt because the prices were great and I rarely put myself at the top of the list.

To cheer myself up in the current heatwave, I either masturbate or sit underneath the sprinkler in my garden.

I get my body massaged at least twice a week and I can't tell you how it feels when I lie face up in a cool tub for hours while watching a DVD through the mirror...reflection, what can't science do?

One of my simple pleasures.... a nice cup of herbal tea while relaxing in a hot bubble bath at the end of a long day.....*sigh*

I've moved into my little trailer with no a/c. I was dripping wet with sweat while on the computer. I thought about going into my bedroom where I have a window air conditioner but decided to go outside instead. I didn't realize it had started sprinkling, but I walked on over to the cushioned swingset with canopy that my mom gave me and noticed the seat wasn't wet. I sat on the swing with the wind blowing slightly and listening to the rain falling on the canopy while only getting a little mist on my skin now and then. It was great.

Before my house was done I lived in a 25ft camper, with my dog. I still remember the sound of the rain, tapping on the roof. It was so small I found all sorts of things to do outside ( until dark ). (I still remember, waking up with over a foot of snow on the ground, my lil camper was like a cave. I love the little things in life, they make me smile, deep down inside.
