you are dangerous....ok let me take a stab at this...i bought a pack of 4 'irrigation stab' sprinklers and they are made of metal...first thing stabbing into the ground..'snap' it breaks! think about what you are stabbing the 8 plus inches into.. a hard unyielding strata or moist soft fertile ground? and what causes it to snap is that final plunge with a twisting action at the end as you try to push it in deeper still. . as for
i went and bought the 'tractor' sprinklers cause the neighbors SWEAR by them....the dang thing goes so slow in spinning that you'd be able to water by a shot glass quicker! we've tried repositioning the arms and everything...nothing works. so...buy another...same dang thing! these type sprinklers require enough water pressure and volume to make everything work. what you describe here, "the dang thing goes so slow in spinning that you'd be able to water by a shot glass quicker!" is an indication of not enough pressure or volume. With too much pressure or volume, the mechanism is overwhelmed and just sits there with a forceful stream of water gushing out of the ends. ...hope this helps you in your quest for the perfect hose attachment
