We're approaching peak color here in southern Michigan. Probably by the weekend. I need to try to get some fotergraphs before the leaves are gone.

Yep, citrus are evergreen! (actually I have a couple of deciduous shrubs here, wisteria and pomegranate but they won't drop their leaves for quite awhile yet)..
And the citrus are absolutely loaded this year (lemonade anyone?)

Leaves? You want colorful leaves? I'm drowning in all the yellow and orange leaves that are falling off the trees here. I love the color but I hate raking/sweeping these things up.
*Heads out to blow leaves into the neighbors yard*

Here in FL the color is year round green, but at my farm in NC the trees should be at their peak color in a couple of weeks. I'm going back to NC the last week in October (got to see my 5 g/kids in their costumes) and staying for a couple of weeks. Hope there is still some color left and that my x will loan me his leaf-blower for a couple of days.

Right now. This week. Beautiful.
I was zooming down the hall here at work yesterday ... doing that charge nurse fast walk but looking side to side into every room I pass ...And then I screeched to a halt ... I thought there was a fire outside the window ... The leaves were so red ... and orange leaves in the tree behind that ... Absolutely breath-taking.
The trees in my yard are quite beautiful, also. And falling. And causing yard work .. Raking... Leaf-blower... Whiney kids.
and A pox on those who have said the dreaded *S* word.

I'm in Lille, 130 miles north of Paris and 65 miles west of Brussels, and all the trees around here are still green... all types of trees. It's very unusual for the region. How is it in your area in United States or Canada ?

Hi Angel! I almost miss the northeast thinking about what those trees look like now...I always thought of it as 'jello' time...the blazing reds, golds and oranges made me think of jello, for some reason!
Well, we don't have the autumn foliage here in the Sonoran desert, but we do have our bouganvillea in blazing red bloom all over right now, as well as oleander in white, pink and red, and the Mexican Bird of Paradise is still blazing orange across a good part of our landscape. The nice part is that it will be that way thru the winter, and in spring we'll have the heavenly aroma of citrus blossoms almost anywhere you go in the valley...and no snow!!

I see more brown leaves than color. We had a dry, hot summer, though, so we may not get much color here in middle Tennessee.
Last weekend, when I drove my son back to college in Michigan, I noticed some pretty color on the trees during the trip.

Here in Central Maine it was peak foliage this past weekend. It was also sunny and 70, so perfect weather to drive around and appreciate the beauty. Lots of leaf peeping tourists here now! Took a trip to the orchard this past weekend and it was absolutely gorgeous!! I love New England in the autumn!!
