Halloween Treats (as a kid) -- before razor blades.. what were your favorites?

Even as a kid I knew that someone who would hand out apples at Halloween... really didn't like kids anyway....
My favorites were: peanut butter cookies... Rice Krispy treats... popcorn balls.... caramel apples.... and of course GOOD candy bars... Maple Bun Bars!!! mmmmm
& peanut butter taffy &...... I'm thinking......

Reese's peanut butter cups and Kit Kats. I can eat those things all day. Gotta eat the surrounding chocolate first, of course.
Maple bun bars? Popcorn balls? Peanut butter taffy? I'm assuming you didn't grow up in New York City. LOL.

I only give out the candy I like - that way if there's leftovers, it doesn't go to waste. Hershey's Special Dark

Nope, good ol' small town USA. Where everybody knew everybody.
So you KNEW those people handing out apples didn't like kids.
Stupid parents kept taking their kids back anyway...
thus the beginning of razor blades...
Hmmmm... maybe the parents didn't like their kids....

I always liked those cute little Halloween themed bags that had several different kinds of candy in them. I used to think the people that gave out that stuff must have been rich!

i love chocolate but thank god for TINK who was the angel that told me i can eat DARK CHOCOLATE with me being a diabetic.. that it was good for you ( within limits dang it ) lol.. my 2nd being rice krispies treats .. Sweet N louisiana
