Dog tries to save cat...both die.

In the State Journal today there was a short story about a lady whose house started on fire.Her dog brought to her the cell phone so she could call 911,also brought her artificial leg so she could escape.After helping her get outside the dog went back into the house and upstairs to save the cat.
Both were lost in the fire.

Thank you for sharing that with us.
If we want to know what the face of love looks like, you just shared it with us.
Even though it was sad that the dog lost its life, it sacrified everything that it had, for those it loved. What a wonderful thing.
I am going to make this the last post I read tonight, for it is a very inspirational one to go to sleep on.

What a touching story. Dogs can be quite the heros and they love so unconditionally. The lady has to be devastated by the loss of her beloved pets.

I tried going to sleep earlier, around 11:00. My little dog was right there beside me. I couldn't sleep so got up, came in here. As I was reading this, I look down and there she is laying on the cold floor waiting for me to come back to bed. I will now take her to bed where its warm for her. She has stuck by me this whole long year, drying many a tear.

shouldent be so careless around the house then the house wouldent be on fire, i feel sorry for the pets only. dumb fking owners

Sweet sad story
I too have a wee red poodle 'something or other' called Sadie.
Follows me everywhere....likes to sleep under the covers....she's at my feet right now.
