My son and his wife had their baby this morning. She had gone to the Dr all along having ultrasounds. They continued to tell her she was having a girl.
Well, they have the nursery all decorated in pink and this morning she gave birth to a 7 lb. boy. It was a total shock, they had not even discussed boy names. Now, I guess we will be returning pinks for blues..
This is my first Grandchild and he is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen.
Just wanted to brag about my grandson and let everyone know that Mom, Dad and Son are all doing fine.

(I'm really giggling at the delivery room 'visual', though )

Congrats!!!!
Same thing happend to me...sorta. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was told time and time again that I was having a boy. I was quite disapointed as I had already had a son and knew that this would be my last child. The very last ultrasound I had was about 2 weeks before she was born, the doctor was measuring the baby and I asked how "he" was doing....the doctor assumed I meant him, and replied fine. No, I mean the baby, its a boy. The doctor looked at the baby on the ultrasound machine again, then at me, and asked me who said it was a boy. I told him that 3-4 people had told me via ultrasound that I was having a boy. The doc said "if this is a boy, its the funniest looking boy I have ever seen". I did not understand right away, I thougth that he meant that there was something wrong with my baby, he saw my distress, and said " I hope you didnt want a boy-cause your having a girl"!!!! I was so happy, I jumped off that table and hugged that doctor,....like he had something in the decison making process or something!
My daughter was the prettiest baby ever, well until last week when her baby daugther was born.!!!! See it always works out for the best! Now I have the worlds most beautiful granddaughter thanks to the worlds most beautiful daughter!

Congrats zulamaze on the birth of your grandson! I'm sure you'll love spoiling him...lol. I used to work for an OB/GYN and we did U/S in our office too by a group of techs that had a contract with us. Occasionally, there would be a slip up determinating the baby's gender and it all depended on the position of the fetus during the time of the U/S. The girl's look like "a hamburger" and the boy's are obvious...lol. Even those who do nothing but U/S have the occasional goof. Consider this the first big "memory" of the baby's birth album....

Congratulations... nobody can love you the way a grandma can! I'm sure your grandson is very blessed to have you, just as you feel blessed to have him.
Enjoy!

I never thought I would feel any bigger GUSH of love then I did when my kids were born, UNTIL I seen that little grandson of mine pop out.
Oh the fun you have in store for you. Have fun, give him an extra kiss from "Granny". Mine is 1,000 miles away and I don't get to see him often in "real life" but we sure have fun making faces when we cam!

60% of Doctors are wrong, reason why, they are called Doctors, but practiitioners aren't said or hididen. Surgeons and physicians, are Doctors MD!!!...Always when you have a problem such as a sprained knuckle, look at his certificate that states, John Doe MD for example, also ask the medical board to see his prognonis certificate.....otherwise, you are waisting your time........Earl

The doctors, as well as other specialists, sometimes mistake. :( They treat one disease, but the pacient dies from other disease... But some doctors don't mistake: the pacient dies exactly from the same disease which had been treated.

Thanks Everyone!
Yes, I intend on spoiling this little guy.
If you are not a grandparent yet, believe me when I say you will be more excited than you were when you gave birth.
It is definately a different feeling being a grandparent.
I think I will be good at it!
