Met several CEO's, millionaires, politicians, etc.... but I wouldn't consider that fame because they have also met me, so what is the big difference? Nothing.
I starred on television news for 5 seconds, at the house of one of my friends after he got hit by a car when I was in 6th grade.
My voice has been heard around the world (on my HAM radio). The world (or at least a part of it) has read my publications............... on Match Doctor and other web sites.
So where is my paparazzi?

i got to meet 2 of my heros when i went to nashville in september. eddie stubbs, the evening dj for wsm and announcer for the grandole opry. then i got to see del mc coury at the opry and talk to him after a show at the country music hall of fame. ooooo-ooo after seeing a show at a small club when the show was over guess who was standing right next to me? chip taylor, the guy who wrote "wild thing" he has aged well and calmed down a lot.....
funny that at my age i feel like a teenaged fan with these folks.
btw, del has won the ibma for best male vocalist 9 out of the last 10years.
(international bluegrass music awards)

JBL is quite yum. He's quite funny and intelligent too which ultimately adds to his sexiness. That and he works on Wall Street and is on Fox News on Saturdays.....
OK, I'm done.

My 15 minutes of fame turned into a good 3 hours worth!! I won the wet t-shirt contest at a bar in Maryland. It was all you can eat shrimp and draft beer night for 10 bucks! I was a bar tender in another bar, but on that night my boss and several other employees and friends as well as myself, would go to this place for the shrimp! Well the boss signed me and my one friend up and I won. Since I don't drink beer (Jim Beam being my particular poison) my drinks weren't included in the 10 dollar deal, but I didn't pay for a thing all night because of the wet t-shirt I was wearing. LOL! Guys kept coming up to me all evening, buying me drinks, asking for dances. Finally made our bouncer take off that flannel shirt of his and I put that on. That was the end of my "15 minutes" of fame.....lmao
P.S. I won 500 dollars! YES!!!!! I'd do it again!!! It was a blast!!!!!!

The only internationally known person I've ever met is Björk, and I don't think she's that well known in America. My ex built Bonnie Tyler's kitchen and shook hands with Tom Jones once haha. And I brushed up against him pretty often My ex that is.

It didn't last 15 minutes...but I made national cbc news when I was 19...during a 'protest' demonstration
.arrested for telling a police officer to stop hitting a boy.....honest injun...I didn't swear or touch this bully...I just said''''stop doing that''''
This was in Winnipeg in 1967 and Mayor Juba made a public statement later that ''some people had been arrested who didn't deserve it.
It didn't help that my ''new inlaws'' back in Toronto saw me....I was 19 but I looked much younger so perhaps that's why they featured me.

Ok, brushes with fame.. lemme see...
1. I once slept with the sister of a famous England cricketer.
2. I was in the local newspaper while at school for my sports exploits.
3. I played for the England Colts cricket team.
4. I played 2 seasons for a professional rugby team.
5. I once made the national newspapers, but they didn't know it was me.
6. I shared some beers with Ian Botham, Allan Lamb and Mike Gatting in Leeds.
7. Dwight York gave me 2 tickets for the Villa-Arsenal game.
Ok, thats it.

My brushes with fame had more to do with my daughter then me , but i was there so I will claim them
Met Tom Hanks when he directed a segment of Earth to the Moon, my daughter had a small part.
Met Barbara Eden during a taping of a Christmas Special , once again I was the stage mom
Met Burt Reynolds during a Aids benefit called Voices, my daughter performed, I just drooled.
Met John Schuck who was playing Oliver Warbucks in the Show Annie. We were in NYC for Auditions.
Met Cathy Rigby back stage after a performance of Peter Pan at the Bob Carr theatre in Orlando.
Met Kelsey Grammer on the set of Fifteen Minutes. We were in battery park after visiting the statue of liberty and we just wandered behind the scenes. He told my daughter she had the same name as his ex gf , but she was nicer then her. He gave her an autograph and asked for hers.
Met Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman at Universal Studios when my daughter was performing with Barney the Dinosaur.
We met Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson when my daughter appeared with them during a promotion for "Goodburger" at the Motown Cafe in NY.
We met Regis and Kathy Lee during a live show at the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World , my daughter presented Mickey Mouse with a birthday card, on the air.
I got to chat with Donna Summers in a Universal Studios Restroom while she was rehearsing for a performance at Universal Studios Mardi Gras.
Those were the good old days.
