I enjoyed reading Martin. I hope he returns. 
The depth and breadth of his knowledge and thoughts

I shall miss Martin also. Not only is he well informed, educated and intelligent, but he was never mean spirited or negative that I know of...
His leaving has quite saddened me - for selfish reasons as I liked reading his posts and political views - but for him I am glad and can only hope he's found something or someone worth his full attention in the "outside."

I'll get in line to say I too shall miss Martin, particularly for the blogs and comments on blogs, but he said he'd be back. I expect to see him in 1-2 months.

I'm glad I stumbled on this forum....I'd been thinking about how much I missed Martin too. It's kind of nice to know there's a whole thread on missing him (I don't know if he'd be tickled or horrified--maybe a bit of both).
