I know that a lot of people may know about this site but for those of you who don't, this is a good site to have access to. It is a national sex offender data base. Just enter your zip code (or any zip code) and it will list all the registered sex offenders in your (that) area.

hmmm. I typed in my zip code and it said there was not enough info to do a search. Now, I know there are perverts in my town somewhere

being in daycare, i like to keep up on this kind of information-not only for me...but my families too.
there should also be a list on the states website for Public Sex Offender Registry (PSOR) . this site will NORMALLY have photos and what they were arrested for...

Ya know...there are so so many reasons I want to move. Now I have one more! There's a nice sex offender 2 buildings over from me! Luckily, I'm not a minor so he won't have any interest in me. Wow...this guy has a tattoo on his face!

Wow...this is too cool! I'm in the market to buy a house and so I just plugged in the zip codes for 3 properties I want to check into. Dontcha know there's a habitual offender one street over on the house with the completely remodeled kitchen! It just figures! The scary part is that this man lives right on top of a very popular Metro Park!

Don't forget to check what the charges are, though. The people on these sites listed as "sex offenders" aren't ALL child molesters. I found two very young guys charged with statutory rape. One name I recall from the newspaper...he had a girlfriend who was still underage -- they'd been going together since middle school/high school -- and apparently the girls parents decided to nail him while they still had a say. This kid has to live with that for the rest of his life: consequenses of a long term teenage romance.  He's a lifetime FELON now and will never have a chance at a real life.
...and all these little teenage mothers with boyfriends 3 years or older than them: the fathers are technically sex offenders, if charges are brought.

Good advice Sunbabe,last year I checked our area using that site or one like it and it had one of my sons highschool friends on it so I asked him what that was about.His friend was charged with child abuse,it was for a fight he had with his sister who called the cops.He was 18...his sister was 17.

The site I used to have bookmarked is PublicData.com...but as with lots of free sites this one has become a PAY site.
And I agree with SunBabe, one needs to check what the charges are...but...it will at least give a person an insight as to who might be living in their area.
